This Hooked Wool and Braided Cotton Bear Accent Rug brings vintage charm to your home. Designed in Vermont by artist Laura Megroz, this superior-quality round rug has a hand-hooked wool center that is framed in wide, flat braids.
Based upon a design first introduced by Plow & Hearth in 1998, this hooked-braided combo is back by customer demand. The two distinct styles of traditional handwork come together for one great look, plus the functionality and durability can't be beat.
Highly detailed rug in shades of green, khaki, black, taupe and brick blends perfectly with farmhouse or rustic decor. Center portion with bear is 100% New Zealand wool; outer portion is braided cotton. Wool felt backing; use with a rug pad. Spot clean or professionally clean. Approx. 1" thick. Imported.
Benefits of Wool Wool is a great choice for fireside use. It is naturally flame resistant due to its fiber structure: wool has a very high ignition temperature, requires a high level of oxygen to sustain combustion, has a low heat of combustion (the amount of heat released in the burning process) and is self extinguishing. Wool does not melt or stick.
Care & Cleaning Shake out or vacuum as needed (do not use beater attachment). Clean spills immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge; do not rub. Spot clean with a mild detergent or soap/water solution. Professional cleaning recommended for stains.
What may appear to be an irregularity in color or construction is a part of the rug's handmade nature. Stray loops or loose yarns may occur and are normal. Do not pull them; snip neatly with scissors. New rugs may shed or "fuzz" - this is also normal and will eventually stop; vacuum to remove as needed (do not use beater attachment).
We accept these payment methods, plus eGift cards.
