Based upon the Colonial-style thumb pot, our version embraces the same old-fashioned ingenuity of putting nature's vacuum to work (just like holding your thumb over a drinking straw). Simply submerse it in water (use a bucket or rain barrel) and let the glazed terra cotta jug fill through its bottom holes. Place your thumb on the top hole, lift the jug and release your thumb for a gentle, soaking shower.
