Entice bees into your yard with our Blue Bee Habitat with Planter. Allow bees to safely raise their young inside the habitat and feed on flowers directly on top of it.
About 30% of the human food supply and 90% of wild plants depend on pollination from bees, the majority of which are native bees. By providing shelter for bees, you're helping to conserve and restore native populations of these fantastic, friendly, super pollinators.
This piece is designed to mimic the insect holes and woodpecker drillings that solitary native bees are naturally drawn to. This wood home design is our way of helping preserve habitats for these important creatures.
Securely place the house on the south side of a building, tree or fence. Back keyhole mount. Painted wood exterior with bamboo tubes.
Care & Cleaning After new bees hatch, clean out tubes to prepare for the next season’s offspring. It’s important to keep the bee house clean to prevent mites and other pests. Make sure all bees have been removed from the habitat before cleaning. Use a pipe cleaner or bottle brush to remove mud and debris from the tubes. Rinse the tubes with running water (do not use a jet sprayer). Once rinsed, let the habitat air dry completely.
