Yaktrax® make it safe and easy to walk over icy, snowy winter ground. Just slip a toe into the stretchy no-slip snow walker boot grip and pull the back over your heel. Spikeless coils provide a solid, predictable grip so you don't slip or slide. Great for everyday use, the Walker is made of injection-molded plastic and sturdy steel coils. Durably designed for the active person, the Pro (in Black only) features a rubber blend elastomer, removable performance strap, and thicker steel coils.

I walk my dog at bedtime--sometimes as late as midnight. At age 70, I felt very confident of my footing while walking on ice and snow, and didn't worry about falling. I bought this product since I do walk my dog at least 2-3 times a day in all weather and wanted something on which I could depend. I live at top of hill, so must walk down and then back up to complete my walk with the dog

I have used the heavy duty version with the velcro strap for dog-walking for years now. Go through 2 pairs per winter. As many have noted, the rubber on the light weight version breaks after a few wearings, but have never had this issue with the "pro" version. The coils wear out over time, but I couldn't walk the dog all winter, twice a day without these. I leave a pair on my boots all the time.

They've saved me from slipping and falling while walking our black-lab on snow and ice. Unfortunately, after daily use for two winters, the rubber on the bottom broke in a few places. I purchased another pair because they help so much and keep me safe. I also bought a pair for my husband, son,and a good friend.

I would purchase the pair with velcro if you may have step through a snow drift while walking on ice. Had to rescue my Yaktrax when I stepped in a snow bank. Otherwise, they stay secure. I have two pair. One I keep on a pair of boots that I can get off and on quickly to walk the dogs. The other pair to use with any footwear.

I use my Yaktrax in the winter. Our driveway is always a sheet of ice. These fit right to my big heavy winter boots, and to my smaller hiking boots. The stretch is amazing on these. They can really fit to most anything.
