Comments about Product: We love our hose holder. It is so sturdy. It sits nice & close to the wall so it's easy to get around it with the lawn mower. The way it's designed makes it really easy to wrap the hose on it.
Comments about Product: Very attractive looking in our yard. It's great that we can move it around if we want to. We initially wanted the roller type but reviews we read indicated a lot of breakage and malfunction. We are very happy with this.
Comments about Product: My spigot is on the house & my garden is further out in the yard so I ran a hose to the hose holder from the spigot then wrapped the remaining hose around the hose holder. It makes it easier to water the garden without pulling the hose out to the garden each time. The hose from the house to the hose holder lies along flower beds so I don't have to pick that part up to mow. The hose holder should be higher as hard to wind the hose up so it doesn't touch the ground for mowing . The hose holder is very attractive and I got the metal color.
Comments about Product: This is well-made and sturdy, but it needs to be taller -- at the very least, they should offer a 12-inch extension. The hose loops they show in the photo are only about 12 inches in diameter. The product needs to be taller in order to accommodate any significant length of hose and keep it off the ground. I bought this to store the hose above the ground and facilitate mowing. Unfortunately, this doesn't really serve my intended purpose. Guess I wasted [$].
Comments about Product: I live in a town home and have limited options for lawn/garden items. The lawn crew ran over my hose last year. This solved the problem and looks great. It came with a defective bolt. I contacted Plow and Hearth and within a day or so had a replacement. Thank you Plow and Hearth for your excellent customer service.
Comments about Product: Bought 2 and they are both GREAT. Highly recommended.
I read the comment that talked about a nut & bolt issue. The two I bought were issue-free and assembled easily. So I would say "don't worry."
Very stury & well built. Nice to look at too.
Comments about Product: I didn't want to put holes in the side of my house and kind that roll up the hose would've been too big for the corner of my flower bed. Not sure this will actually hold 100' of hose but since I have a shorter one on it, it does the job perfectly for me. It's also nicer to look at. My sister-in-law wants me to order her one, too, she liked it so well.
Comments about Product: This product does what it says and is easily assembled. I wish you would carry more of these types of items, but have them made in the United States. I would have paid a little more to support jobs here.
Comments about Product: I needed a holder I could place at the edge of the yard that looked nice and was easy to install and sturdy. This really filled that need. It's not very tall though so I had to coil the hose a little smaller that I would have liked. Even so - it is definitely worth the price.
Comments about Product: I needed something to hold a hose in my small side yard and did not want to attach anything to the house. I would not say this is beautiful, but it is nice enough and holds a long hose. I like the fact that can be detached for winter or storm removal, or if I need to relocate the hose for any garden projects.
Comments about Product: I use it for my front yard landscaping with a 50 foot hose, which isn't too long to wind manually when I'm done with it. For longer hoses, I'd recommend a product with a winding mechanism. It's well-made, looks inconspicuous and can be moved as needed. I live in the high desert where plastic hose holders deteriorate with the strong sun and I appreciate that this product should do well for years to come.
Comments about Product: This (as other reviewers said) is very heavy duty and well-constructed. You need to tighten the screws pretty good on the two parts. I found that once I found a spot in the yard to put it all the way down, it was fine. But it does have to be pushed down in as far as it can, otherwise it will be wobbly with a hose on it. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I have two and they are nice, but not showy. Look neat and tidy.
Comments about Product: The hose holder is excellent. We would like it better if the legs were a little taller so that the item sits about 3-4 inches higher off the ground. This would provide for less bending when re-winding the hose.
Comments about Product: I ordered two of these and the first box I opened neglected to include the instructions, but it was fairly basic and not needed, although you will need 2 pliars and a philips screwdriver. These are very sturdy and can handle a 100 foot, heavy-weight hose no problem. The tripod prongs are sufficient to keep the holder upright without toppling. Love the look-dresses up the eyesore of a jumble of garden hose.
Comments about Product: I wasn't sure if this would be strong and stable enough to support my 100' hose, but it does! It is also not difficult to unwind the hose, because it doesn't get tangled up. This was a great buy!
Comments about Product: This is a very sturdy hose holder that is easy to set up near our faucet and keeps the hose out of our way when not in use. Mostly I like this product because it is easy to unwind the hose when you need to water something in your yard or garden and easy to put away.
Comments about Product: I love my new hose holder. It was very simple to assemble and is an attractive addition to my patio. It beats the old hosereel....is much easier to use. A friend just recently inquired as to where I got it. If I were to improve on it, I would make it about 4" taller. Thank you Plow & Hearth.
Comments about Product: I just loop the end of the hose over the cradle after using and it is available for the next time I water the yard/garden. No draging across the yard causing crimping. It makes everything easier and is attractive. Only wish it was a little taller to make it easier to coil my very long hose.
Comments about Product: Easy to set up and use. Holds the hose very well and makes it easy to access it.
Don't know about its durability yet but will soon find out.
Researched many hose holders and this one has the ability to hold he hose properly, blend in with the surroundings and is easy to use.
Comments about Product: I wanted something for my vegetable garden that would look nice not cheap. When I seen the hose holder and that it was made of wrought iron I new that this was it.
It was very easy to assemble just a screwdriver and a pair of pliers was all I needed.
Comments about Product: I bought this item with the hope that it would blend in my garden which it does. It fits right next to the house and is very attractive. It stores a long hose and looks good while doing it. Much better than those ugly plastic/rubber contraptions. Highly recommend it.
Comments about Product: I have been wanting a hose holder in my front flower bed, so I can hose the front patio, porch, and sidewalk. This is attractive, easy to put together, and easy access. The best part is that it was inexpensive for being so sturdy and attractive.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
