I started a tradition with my child and nieces/nephews of an ornament every year at xmas. The idea was when they left home and decorated their 1st tree they would have ornaments of their own and the start of xmas memories. Those kids are now in their 30's and now they have babies. Now I continue the tradition every xmas for the next generation.
