A pleasant sound.

Before Christmas my husband and I were looking for a gift for a friend. After visiting a local P&H store and testing all the chimes we decided on this style. The recipient was thrilled and commented on the wonderful tone is has. My husband commented he wouldn't mind having a set just like it, so we now have the same chimes to enjoy. The tone is more a gong, and even in stronger winds, it does not create a constant clatter often heard from light weight chimes. After 6 months, the chimes still look like new and we continue to enjoy the soothing gong sounds it emits on a breezy day.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
