We have the folk art flag similar to this (fewer stripes and stars) hanging on our fence. After only a few summer months the paint on blue field is peeling off taking the stars with it.

This flag is cute enough, yes; but I was disappointed to see the [*]sticker on the back. Similar products that I have seen advertise as "American Made", and I just assumed this one was as well. If you're hanging this outdoors onto siding, you're better off removing the hanging brackets from the back and drilling rust-proof screws straight through the piece and into the siding. 2.5" screws should do it. Camouflage the screw heads with a dab of nail polish. Again, we like our Flag, but I would have preferred to buy one made in the U.S.A.!!

The one I bought was on sale for $20 less. I realized why when I got it: 11 stripes instead of 13. I hung it in my office anyway because overall it is basically very nice. Then I ask visitors if they see anything about it that is not correct. I should have paid more attention when I purchased it. I would have paid $20 more for authenticity.
