Wood Curio Table

I've finally found a way to display 47 whole Sand Dollars that we found in the waters of Longboat Key! Not only can I see them from the glass sides of the table as I sit on the couch, I can also see them as I place my purse, keys, etc. on the top of the table just as I come into our beach place. The bottom shelf is big enough to hold several books just waiting to be read too! This little table is the perfect size without being too bulky and taking up a lot of room. It was easy to assemble and I have no problem with the finish. The shape of the top curves out slightly and makes it easy to open. I haven't found anything that I don't like about it as it suited my purposes exactly.

Warning to those of you who want the color and finish pictured, don't trust the picture on the website! The finish color and quality of the table I received were not at all like the table pictured on the site. The picture on the site looked like dark cherry or mahogany (or another darker, richer wood) and was rubbed shiny and the wood finish looked richer. What I actually got was much lighter, duller and a very, very phony-looking finish. I'm not happy at all because I thought what I saw online is what I'd get. I ordered this table for a very specific room and purpose and am very disappointed. Another major issue I had with it was the workmanship. Whoever put it together got glue all over the glass and on some of the table legs. The glass was the worst as you could see the fingerprints and smudges on both sides and on all the pieces. And we're not talking just a few prints and smudges. It has taken me and my husband over an hour and 4 different products to get the glue off and we are not even done yet! Still deciding whether to keep it as I'd have to refinish it for the room it was intended. If it weren't for losing my shipping costs, I wouldn't think twice. I'd take it apart and send it back! For reference, If I had seen this table in person, I never would've bought it. And it is definitely NOT worth the full price. The only thing great about this table is that it was easy to assemble. I would never recommend this table to anyone. Am so upset that I'm not even sure if I would order from Plow & Hearth again. That's how bad it is :(
