This saves a lot of time and effort. It used to take me 5 trips to bring in this much wood and the caddy can carry more wood than I can pull uphill. The tall wheels go up my stone steps and across uneven ground easily. It was easy to assemble. My only suggestion for improvement would be a telescoping handle; it's a bit short so it's a little awkward to pull.

There are two primary drawbacks from my perspective. First, it is fairly flimsy and doesn't do well with 3/4 load, let alone a full load. Second, the position of the wheels restricts the width of the log that can be hauled. I don't expect this to last me too long.

My husband takes care of all our fireplace needs and he absolutely loves the wood caddy. The large wheels on it certainly help getting the wood up the steps onto the deck.

I have had this for four years and it still works great and has held up very well. It has been outdoors year round the entire time. The only thing I did was add some grip wrap to the handle. The only other thing I would change would be to add a handle on the opposite end so two people could move it up steps a little more easily. I have also used this to haul camping gear in high weeds and woods! This tool makes my old body happy!

This wood caddy is great. I bought this after 2 years of using my arms and back. It is a back saver!! Instead of making 11 trips to fill my wood stack inside my home, this caddy takes 2 trips to do the job. You'll love it.

When transporting wood from the wood pile to the home this cart need a tarp to catch the dirt or wood chip that fall on to the carpet or floor.

The design concept is quite good. As a professional engineer, I was concern about the strength of the wire wheels. I was correct. The wire whells have failed on my unit.

A good concept but a worthless purchase. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I followed directions. Set up was easy, but they don't tell you the spokes on the wheels come in the package with no tension on them. I didn't pay much attention either, just anxious to get to hauling wood. After a couple trips in, the wheels were bent beyond use. I took them to a bike shop to get fixed and they said its too late. They are impossible to straighten out at this point. The spokes should have been tightened before it was ever used. It would've been nice to know that beforehand. Oh, and don't just think, "no problem, I can do it myself" because it's certainly not that easy! If you buy one and the spokes are loose, send it back!!

Nobody complains now when they have to go out and move wood from the wood pile to the wood racks! This mover definitely has reduced the trips out back. My sons have even pulled it through the house and sit it next to the fireplace. The design makes it obscure and I have several days worth of wood sitting right there. We have put the canvas carrier away! I agree that the wheels seem a bit wobbly but so far we haven't had any trouble with them; they glide easily over the terrain. I also bought 2 of the large wood racks with finials and they are very attractive on each side of my front steps. We are all very happy with the purchase. My "MENSA" son analyzed the design of all the carriers and told me to buy this one. He has not found any faults with the design.

The cart is great for those who cannot carry heavy loads of wood. If the wheels were two inches wider it would go over anything and be more like a wagon in moveablity. I bought one for my dad then bought one for me. It works great on a smooth surphase.

I cannot believe it got good reviews.

I had a bad feeling about it when I took it out of the box. The metal plate with the "Plow & Hearth" logo painted on it was all scratched up and dented. I put it together figuring it is going to get use anyway.

This cart is flimsy and poorly made with sub-standard materials. I read the instructions which said not to load it with more than 150 lbs., so I weighed a few of my pieces to get an idea of what it should hold, and with less wood on it than the one in the photo with the woman, it bent about four inches above the axle where the handle is attached.

The metal is way too thin for carrying firewood. While the design is clever, the angle section needs to be much thicker, reinforced steel instead of the flat metal which--I measured--is only 1/8" thick.

I am going to call the company and see if we can get our money back.

Totally unsatisfied.

My husband and I received this as a Christmas present. It came to us assembled so that was a plus! My husband was very skeptical about using this for the first time because it did not appear very sturdy, but it was awesome! We are getting up there in age and were very surprised to find this product made it much easier to load wood from our wood pile to bring into our house for our wood stove. It is very easy to go up stairs with a full load, and we are making less trips out to the wood pile. We are really enjoying this product.

I had this wood carrier for about two weeks and bringing it up the stairs the main shafts broke so it can no longer can be used. Very flimsy.

Just purchased. Put together in about 20 minutes with socket wrench and pliers. Frame seems solid to me however wheels are a bit wobbly and I question if the pin holding them on will stand the test of time. In 1 trip to the woodpile I brought in (with much less exertion) what typically would have taken me 4 trips with handheld log carrier up two separate sets of steps (about 10 in total)...no problem. I have very standard/uniform sized pieces of wood that are roughly the same length, which fit perfectly. Others could have issues with longer pieces. If I had more confidence in the wheels I'd be fully pleased.

The tubular wheel spacers were about 3/32" too long which prevented the cotter retaining pins from being installed...had to shorten to assemble.

Catalogue showed 200# load rating. Mfgs. instruction sheet showed not to exceed 150#

I'm not a weakling, but I had a hard time pulling this cart up my back stairs. I could not fill the cart with as much wood as it says you can. I ended up carry the wood by the armful. Much easier and faster. This is a fine product to move wood from one area to another but not for stairs as advertised.

I fill the indoor wood storage area by wheeling in 4 or 5 full cart loads once per week. For each of two stoves, this is be single best thing we could have selected other than the wood stoves themselves!

This product would be far more useful with some sort of wire mess between metal frame so the wood doesn't fall out. Also, the screw holes were not all pre-drilled.

I love this! I have a bad back and can still get the cart up the stairs to my front porch. It was a bit hard to assemble, but I appreciate that it was to ensure the stability of the cart - besides my tools left something to be desired...

Our whole family loves this rolling wood caddy!! We used to use a wood bag to haul logs from our detached garage into our house, but it was difficult and took many trips. It hurt my lower back, made my husband cranky, and our 2 teenage boys would moan and groan when asked to do this task. Now bringing in wood is a pleasure. The caddy rolls easily over ice and snow, up granite steps, and into our house. And we only need to make 2-3 trips to bring in a LOT of wood. This was a great purchase for my husband and me as we are aging, and we know our teenagers will not always be around to help out!

I did have a friend assemble it for us and he seemed to have no problem with it.

The only "con" I can think of is that the caddy is rather large and needs a good-sized space in our garage to store it.

This has to be the worst product that I have ever purchased. On the second trip hauling wood the brace that connects the handle to the base split in half making this product nothing more than a very expensive yard ornament. This company should be absolutely ashamed of itself for marketing such pure junk.

We have a wheelchair ramp on the back porch, so this product is excellent for easily bringing a large amount of wood to the fireplace in one load. It is balanced well when loaded and easy to move and handle. The nuts and bolts have to be tightened occasionally, but overall, this had made the chore of moving firewood easy. Simple to assemble.

I bring firewood from our barn to our back porch. I wanted to be able to lift the wood to the porch, up the steps, so I wouldn't have to unload it twice. While the cart works well and seems quite sturdy, I did decide to put part of the wood in a rubber maid tub on top of part of the wood, take it off before pulling the whole cart up my two steps, then putting the box of wood back on the cart after getting it up the steps. Other than that, I love it. I like the filled tires, it maneuvers well, and hauls a decent amount of wood.

This wood caddy was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my husband, but we opened it over a month early and have used it daily since then. The balance is excellent - just tip it back and go. No heavy exertion required.

I assembled it in about 20 minutes. It hauls bunch of wood. I have a tendency to overload things, it carried more than I can manage. I'll have to deal with my own weaknesses I guess.

Most wood should be about 16 inches in length. There is plenty of room for that. Put short pieces on top between longer ones so they don't fall out. Longer pieces can go on above the wheels and stick out the sides.

It beats the heck out of a log carrier bag!

Caddy works great to haul firewood. Makes it easy to move firewood from Pile to Fireplace. Works well if wood pieces are not too wide, for me less than 20". It is much easier than other totes or carrying an arm load. Easy to pull up a step to get it in the house.
