We purchased several of these blinds to enable us to use the furnished porch when the late, hot, afternoon sun shines on that porch. They are easy to install, easy to use and look great. Our neighbors have already placed an order for their porch.

We decided this summer will be THE summer that we'll keep our family room cool. The room is designed to take in the mountain view to the east, so it has several large (5'x6) windows. But, having so many windows facing east/southeast makes for a lot of summer sun coming in and warming the room. (Summer temps are in the 90-100s here.) Barring replacing the windows, we tried using insulated curtains on the inside of the windows to keep the heat out, which help a little. Then a friend said the key is to keep the heat off the windows from the outside. We took his advice and ordered sunshades for all four window exteriors, including one for the glass sliding door. The room now stays comfortable throughout the day! The shades look nice from the outside, too. We'll be purchasing 4 more for the living room. I do wish they came in more sizes, though.

The shade was so easy to put up and looks great. The price was amazing. This product looks just like the ones I was going to buy and their price was over a $150 dollars more. I can't believe we found this product at such a great price. If you need shade and/or privacy this is the shade for you. Can not wait to get the next catalog to see what I can buy next

I got a pair of these to block the morning sun on our deck. They look very nice now that they're up, but my husband had a very difficult time installing the screws (phillip's head) into the southern yellow pine posts, which is very hard wood. The screwheads stripped and he wound up using a flat screw that could be tightened with a wrench to get them in. I don't know yet how the shades will hold up in wind or bad weather. They are lightweight and have loops to secure the bottom, so we will find out later if they are sufficient. The pull cord sticks sometimes so you have to be careful not to yank on it, as I suppose it could break.

I had been looking at these shades for a few years and finally ordered them; and it was well worth the wait. We really love the way they look in our sunroom and they were very easy for my husband to install.

Brackets do not allow for hanging against patio beams. Can not hang if posts more than the width of shade without adding your own L brackets, then no post to secure chain safety device.

Ordered 2 6X6 Meadow shades and 1 8X6 meadow shade. Received 1 8X6 and 1 6X6 meadow shades and 1 6X6 shade of another color. Returned the incorrect color and I'm currently awaiting (1 week now) the return of the correct 6X6 meadow shade at which time I can install and see the quality, fitting etc.

I put this outside my dining room window which faces west. The afternoon sun has always been brutal, even with expensive interior shades. This blocks the heat very effectively.

I bought 2 of these. They were very simple to install. The color on the website was very accurate, and they look great in the location. One rolls down very smoothly, but the other one is a bit rougher. They are a great improvement over what we previously had, and we're very pleased with them.

I ordered these for my outdoor porch and we are thoroughly enjoying them. They were fairly easy to hang and keep the sun off the deck. Great product for the price, I will order these again.
I am also ordering the outdoor curtains to put on each side to finish the look.

We had problems attaching the hardware, but we aren't handy that way. It has rings at the bottom to tie it down, but nothing to attach to them. Suggestions would be nice. We haven't had it long enough to rate the effectiveness or wear, but they look much nicer than what we were using.

Put this up on our lower patio and its perfect to keep the sun out of our eyes and allow us to sit out there longer and also gives us more privacy! Very nice shade!

We thought this shade was similar to the ones we bought two years ago. Those were green and white with a slight beige on either side of the green stripe. Nope, this one looks like a cheap plastic bright green with bright white. Not a match.

We put this on our covered back deck and my husband had it up in less then 30 minutes. have not had the chance to use it much but it looks nice and is exactly what we wanted and expected. Very quick delivery

This really has cooled my front entry area. It's a room about 10' square which gets full west sun and has always stayed too hot to use in the evenings. It's much more comfortable now. The shade is attractive and was easy to install. So far, no negatives.

address was in correct and first order was sent back..had to re-order. Bought simular blinds several years back. Loved them heavy duty attachment..heavy cord to pull up blind..heavy attachemnt was included to secure to wood frame. Did not have to go buy anything to secure the blinds. They still are great after 4 years. I Was very disappointed to get these but kepted them. will not buy this brand again..please review the blinds you use to sell and get rid of this brand...

We bought these shades mainly to have more privacy from our neighbors when they are out on their deck. We also use them to block afternoon sun. The one negative is they blow around. I know you can secure them down with something because they come with metal loops on the bottom, but I'm not interested in putting something permanent on our railing. A heavier bottom would help. Maybe attaching some weights on the bottom when you don't want this to happen.?.

The blinds function as they should, the material is somewhat attractive and cottage-like at a distance but the material is rather coarse plastic, not the mellow canvas it is meant to replace. They do admit some light through which is very nice. The plastic hardware attached to the bottom of the blinds that secures the fabric to the bottom support came off after only one week, but is easily secured with tape or weather proof adhesive. Regardless of the amount of weather your setting receives they will come apart but with a little effort are easily fixed. All in all, a little cheap but they do the job.

We needed a shade that could cut the west sun hitting the front porch in the afternoons. This shade does the job and looks good in the process.

Installation instructions say it can be wall mounted, but the clutch is definitely set up for ceiling mount. Put it up and the chain was difficult to operate. Then noticed that the plastic caps on the brackets come off, and discovered 4 small screws. Took whole thing down and removed screws--rotated the clutch mechanism one quarter turn and screwed it back together. Then had to climb up and reinstall the whole thing.

We are using the shades on our screened-in porch for both privacy and sun blocking. They were very easy to install and "disappear" when rolled up. They are very attractive when rolled down. The shades are very light and are easy to raise and lower with the chain. We installed small hooks into the wooden frames at the bottom of our screens so we could secure the shades (when it's breezy)using the rings on the shade bottoms. We love these shades!
