Placed feeder on window near sunflowers that goldfinches had been visiting. A con would be that when finches tried to land on the slippery plastic surface, they failed and flew off. Either roughing up the surface or providing a couple of perches would be a plus. Also, the lid has a very snug fit. Have to be forceful to open and close it.

Birds do use it and you can watch them. But, if you have windows with panes it won't work. It has to have a large area of plain glass. Also, after you push in the suction cups the cutouts on the lid won't fit over the place where they originally fit before the suction cups were squashed. So you either have to take it down each time to fill it and put the top back on first, or leave it unhooked.. otherwise it's fun to watch.

        Love this feeder!

        By Grams

        from Thompson's Station, TN

I have two of these feeders on the windows over my kitchen sink. Because of our window film, the birds can't really see in very well, so we see them up close and personal! I didn't even use the film that came with the feeders. I love them and have used them for gifts. Great product!

This was the best Christmas gift I got this year. I love being able to watch birds feeding up close when I'm in the kitchen. The only drawback is I can't keep the squirrels out. I would welcome any suggestions.

This works as promised and I have "someone" pecking away almost all day, much to my viewing delight. Only four stars because it's design makes filling very messy.

I'll probably have to buy at least one more as my cats fight each other for the best view.

I love this feeder. I got it as a gift for my husband and hoped that it worked. We have such a variety of birds that feed all day long. Everyone that sees it asks where to get one. I would love to have one on every window!

My 89-year-old mother loves it. She has dementia and loves to look at the birds. I didn't know how to fill the container because there were no instructions. The top lifts off. It is a little hard to get off but comes off with little effort. No birds slip on ours - put seeds on the middle part, too, so they don't. Smooth out the film on the window by rubbing it down with a soft cloth or tissue.

This is a Christmas present so we have not had an opportunity to use this item yet. However, I strongly suspect that my husband and his day cat Sarah will love to watch the birds together as they work in his home office.

This feeder is so enjoyable to all that visits my home. We have the feeder on the kitchen window where we sit and eat. The different kinds of birds are a delight to see. I have it on the top part of the window so it makes it easy for me to refill by opening the bottom window and just reaching up to pour more food in. I don't have to recommend it, those who see for them selfs ask were to get one. The only con I would say is that the ledge that the birds go on would be better if it came out a little more. The food lands on my window ledge and sticks. What I did is cover the ledge with foil so my ledge doesn't get stained. Great product and fun to watch
