Chairs very comfortable and easy to move around. Finish quality on brown chairs is poor- spotty and uneven with some abraded areas. Seems strong enough and has served us well for one season on the cottage balcony. Rack came with no instructions and missing two dowels- no big deal. However, it seems to be too small to hold four chairs comfortably even though every combination of position has been tried. Clearly a design problem with the 'free' rack. Probably will put a coat of spar varnish on the chairs next season.

Great idea for portable chair/s that can easily be stored in the off season ( a long one here in VT). However we were very disappointed to find that one of the chairs had had holes (I assume) filled with plastic wood or some such AFTER they were stained and finished. The result is light colored patches in the darker wood. I would recommend with the caveat that quality control from China is obviously a bit difficult.

Comments about Plowhearth Easy Seating:
If this chair will be used by children or someone under 80 pounds I suppose it might last more than a year. I had to rebuild ours after one year due to the poor axle design that holds the seat to frame
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

we bought two white chairs for the front deck. The chairs have cracked paint and looks awful after being outside for less than one month. I'am not happy with these chairs. But love my gliders from plow and hearth.

The paint on the white rockers is peeling off after only one month. The bottoms left white residue stains on my patio. The hinges are rusting. Very disappointed as I love Plow and Hearth products usually.

Love rockers but was disappointed in the fact that the rocker "bumps" when you rock in it. We ordered 4 white ones for our front porch and received 3 broken due to poor construction. The company replaced the nicely but was a real hassle.

We use these rockers on our front porch. Was disappointed that the rockers rock "bumpy". Not a smooth rocker. shipping was a problem--out of four, we had to replace 3--broken in shipping. We do use them but plan to replace with a better quality rocker sometime in the future.
outdoor patio, my husband loves rockers!

Product is sturdy but keep it out of the weather or the paint will peel. (I purchased the white rockers) Paint starts peeling on the framework 1st (arms). I would buy the product again but would have to strip the paint off, prep & repaint it before using.

A great chair to prepare for our new Mama to cradle her new born girl anywhere she goes.

I love this chair, it is very comfortable for a wide range of body types and folds easily for easy storage. Construction is solid but the finish is a bit shabby, just as other customers have said. For the price and my purposes, it is a great chair. It has an automatic "lived-in, sat-in" look that goes with my other furniture!

The rocking chair is quite comfortable. Paint absolutely doesn't hold up. Purchased for Christmas gift. Paint became cracked and peeling within a month of being placed outdoors in Southern California weather.

just an OK rocker

The construction quality is very good, but the finish on the rocker is poor. (missed areas and small gouges) In my opinion, the rocker is over price.
I will buy more!

I purchased two of these rockers to see just how versatile they would be. I find it very easy to move them from the front porch to the back deck. When not in use, they fold easily to store. I bought the white ones and they look beautiful. The construction in solid and they are sturdy enough to accommodate my 6'3", 200 pound husband. I intend to purchase two more and to get the rack that can be used to store them.
Wish someone had inspected the finish.
I really wanted this chair and thought it was a good fit. Chair had to be returned because it was not finished properly. I would have liked Plow and Hearth to offer to inspect a chair and reship. Very disappointed. I would still like to purchase this chair.

I like these rockers enough to leave them out all the time in my sunroom.

The rockers are an additiion to our cabin in the mountains. We needed something for our balcony porch...due to weather elements they have ended up on our front porch where they are under cover. We build some furniture pieces so they are somewhat lighter in weight than we are used to.
