From rivers to tree roots to drinking water and beyond, clean water keeps the world flowing. Last October, we held an online painted rain barrel auction to raise awareness for water conservation. We were excited about the results and decided to continue our efforts this year. To raise awareness for American Rivers-the nation's leading river conservation organization-and the little things you can do to help conserve water-we've launched our WaterColors Contest.

   This year's Water Colors Contest is closed to further entries, and we've received some amazing ones this time around! Our contestants shared wonderful images of their beautiful, water-inspired creations, including rain barrels and watering cans they painted, drawings, photos and more, all of which captured the spirit of Water Colors. Choosing finalists from among these entries was a challenge to our special committee, but in the end they came up with three that showed superior aesthetic impact, incorporation of color and water and originality. Now you can vote for your favorite on the Plow & Hearth Facebook page: facebook.com/plowandhearth. Be sure to tell your friends and family to "Like" us on Facebook and vote, too - in addition to the $10,000 Plow & Hearth is already donating to American Rivers, we'll donate an additional $1 for every vote we receive (up to $5,000).
