You've got a comfortable chair, a good book but the little nook where those're situated is darn chilly. On low, you won't get much but a pretty flame from this little stove, but the higher setting gives out a couple of feet of warm air that will, along with a throw and a cushion, make for a pleasant little read or eMail session. This air will not reach you if you're situated across the room. It seems intended for a 'huddle' space.

While it will dispense some of winter's natural damp, this is definitely an 'in addition to' other warmth sources and if you have higher ceilings by all means use your overhead fan to push the hot air back down again. Also, please note, there is a very obvious hum which does turn into white noise if you're occupied, but could annoy certain customers who prefer a silent background.

I probably would not have bought this item without the $50 gift certificate that I put toward another P & H product. And if you're only going to buy one stove, I do recommend the larger size version instead of this one. They both seem well made, and not particularly plastic-y considering their basic casings, however I do recommend a power screwdriver to get the legs firmly situated.

For atmosphere creation they're both beautiful, but the larger is obviously better if heating is a serious issue. You cannot count on either as a main warmth source, so please do bear that in mind before making your purchase.

This little stove is small but mighty. It not only warms the room with heat, but gives it a homey warm feeling while it is on in the room. I bought one for my family and one for my parents. We all love it.

We are using this in our 22x20 ft den, and it will heat up the room. I do like the look of the flame, it is very relaxing. HOWEVER, if you use the heat, it will increase your electric bill considerably. We had purchased a similar, but not as aesthetic model last year, used it in place of our oil, and the e-bill went up almost 100%. We checked the amount of electricity this model uses over the one we used last year, and it is almost identical, so if you want to use this for the flame, or to heat up the room, then cut it off, it is a good purchase. If you want to use it to heat up the room, and keep it running, be prepared to pay quite a bit for the electricity, esp when running it on "high". Just the flame only uses as much as a lightbulb, of course. I do like it, but have to be careful how much we run the heat.

I ordered it in white and was so pleased with the finish! It was much nicer than what I had seen at our local big box retailer. It heats the bedroom it's in toasty warm, and my grandchildren love watching the flames. If there is another promotion, I'd like to order another one just like it!

In reading the product description, I had the impression that this beautiful white electric fireplace heater was mostly metal, but the fireplace is mostly plastic. After having it on for only a short time in the flame-only mode (no heat) my living room smells like warm plastic, and it's unpleasant. Will post another review after contacting customer service tomorrow, 10/16/2012.
the flame is so pretty and relaxing, the the logs look like embers. I wonder if this is a newer, less expensive model that the model all the other positive reviews were posted for.

I purchased this little stove for my daughter who recently moved to Whidbey Island in Puget Sound where it is stormy and rainy much of the year. She is IN LOVE with the stove. She says it kicks out enough heat to warm her large living room with cathedral ceilings. The flame is completely realistic and the fact that the stove is very sturdy and stays cool are pluses since the two dogs have claimed the area right in front of the stove as their own and often brush up against it. She had the legs on and the stove plugged in within 10 minutes. of unpacking it. She says it is very quiet. She loves the cozy, old-fashioned look and just couldn't be happier with it.

We bought this little heater to supplement our main heat source this winter and (hopefully!) help save on rising fuel costs. So far, we've used it once, w/great results. I guess the real test will be once the really cold winter sets in! We had been shopping on-line and pricing other similar items. The reduced cost alone was great, but with the $ 50 gift card added on, we couldn't find any other similar heater that beat the price. Also, the design is really cute and the flame is very realistic. I like this heater so much that I may be purchasing another really soon!

This is a cute little fireplace. My boyfriend thought it would be kitschy but even he was impressed by the flames and appearance. It does seem to be a little noisy when the motorized thing inside turns but for the price it's a good value. I bought the white and it's darling. I think I will buy another in black.

We bought this to add heat to our children's playroom. We have one radiator in that room and it comes on last so I wanted it to be cozy for them and this stove does it. Very nice to run and warms up the room in no time. We used it all last winter and did not notice a change in our electric bill. Love it so much getting a couple more to place in a bedroom and livingroom.

We use this in my daughter's bedroom. We heat our home with a woodstove & her room needs a bit more heat that the rest of the house. The only downside is that it doesn't have a thermostat, so sometimes her bedroom ends up 80+ degrees and other times it's 60. She loves the fake flames & the metal sides to stick magnets on.
I have not seen any increase in my electric bill.

This little stove is wonderful!! I bought it to put in my RV and it works PERFECT! Two friends saw it and bought one each for their sewing "studios" and now I need another one to use in my "studio", the room is small so I know it will work great and be no need to use the central heat as much. i bought this last winter season, this one was the smallest i could find as i dont have large rooms...today i now know how happy i am that i bought this one, at a friend's home she had her stove running, another however very popular brand, and the logs did not look realistic at all, they looked like cardboard facing in front of the flames....as far as realistic goes, this one is great, heat is not bad, as long as you realized it is only going to do best in a smaller room.

Made a platform for the black stove out of pebble stone patio blocks. Makes the stove look realistic and adds a lot of charm and warmth to our basement family room. Definitely a good buy!

I love this ! I got the white and it looks really nice in either my bathroom or bedroom. It really puts the heat out in a small area. For me its a good supplement to my pellet stove. I'm using this just in the evenings when its just a little chilly and its not as efficient to start the furnace to only have it run a couple of times. This is nice and I have left it on low overnight. Keeps the bedroom and hallway at a comfortable temp.

I am always cold, and I wanted to try turning the heat down, and just keeping one room warm at a time. This little heater blows warm air, and it really feels like I am in front of a wood stove.
