I started wearing UGG sheepskin boots over 20 years ago when they were harder to find. Everyone made fun of my "UGGly" boots. Well I had the last laugh!
Copy boots are no where near the quality. These were created for surfers to wear right after getting out of the ocean, when it is "winter" in Australia.
The boots are meant to be worn barefoot, but I will wear socks when it's really winter here in the northern U.S.A.. But I can throw them on to run outside under a pair of jeans or my pajamas.
I even wore UGGs to work (worked outside) when it was snowy, so I could get around easily and not get a foot full of snow or fall down. They have different kinds of soles but all work well in cold weather.
The only problem I have ever found is the lighter tan color, that I love so much, is the first to show dirt. And once that happens it's almost impossible together the way they were. I have tried applying a water repellant to protect them but found a brush is best to get dirt off and do it as soon as possible.
The darker colors hide dirt much better. These tend to form to the shape of your foot with wearing, so if they seem a little bit small don't despair (unless they hurt, then they are too small.) I size mine a half size up to wear thick socks. I also replace the insoles when they start to compress, but even they can be hand washed. I will be buying these as long as they make them and they are worth every penny.

Practically live in these during San Diego "winters." Also have both knitted and regular short ones, which makes me a fan I suppose...

Best price I found online since Plow & Hearth offered a percentage off total order if spending over $300 near Christmas. It is hard to get authentic Ugg products online at any kind of discount.
Also, wore boots brand new for two full days of walking in D.C. Super comfortable and warm.

I have these boots in gray and really wanted the chestnut. Plow and Hearth has amazing prices. The boots were delivered as expected and are wonderful. The chestnut is a warm color and the "fluff" is very warm and comfortable. I can't imagine a winter without my Uggs. These look amazing with skinny jeans and leggings. I love them.

My grandaughter just loves these boots. She wears them everywhere. She is one who feet are always cold but with UGGS her feet have been kept warm all winter long and she does wear them with no socks. She loves the fel of the lining. They brush up beautifully and look as good as the day I bought them. Very, very satisfied with the boots. I believe I will get a pair for myself for next winter.

My 17 yr. old Goddaughter has several of these boots already, but a girl can never have too much of a "good thing". The other pairs have worn well and
have been redone at the cobbler and go on. These boots are will worth the

I am a Middle School teacher with outdoor duty during the winter. My daughter suggested Uggs to keep my feet warm, even without socks inside the boots. To my surprise, all I have to do is slip my feet in the boots and I'm ready to go...warmth, style that the kids notice, and softness that helps relieve being on my feet.
