OMG! It gave our 58 year old fireplace new life! It is gorgeous and we absolutely love it!!

We also had an old black fireplace set that it also gave new life to. It stands proud and tall beside our beautiful new screen.

I really needed something to give a finished look to my old brick fireplace that had been converted to gas. It was just a big black hole. Looked at many websites and products in store but most nice looking and well-made were very high priced. I did spend a little more than I planned but this screen is still a bargain -- beautiful and nicely made. Yes, it does stand on its own and could tip forward if you were to yank the doors. But, only my husband and I will be using this item so no concerns there. No complicated installation needed and it fits and looks perfect. Since we just moved to Missouri from Florida we will be enjoying our beautiful fireplace allot.

The screen looks very nice but when I opened the box the glass was broken. The glass is very thin and you would have to be very careful when you open and close the doors not to break it.

When I received this, the small stuffs inside were loosing in the box, so I got some chips on the product. Need to improve the packing box, otherwise I'll give 5 stars.

We converted our old brick fireplace to gas. I bought this screen to cover the ugly brick opening. It is perfect. The screen gave the fireplace a finished look. My husband loved it and said it " classed it up". The package arrived wet and the packing was crumbled but the screen and glass survived. The magnet that holds the doors closed was broken off but it doesn't effect the function and we love the look.

After shopping built-in fireplace screens from all the after-market metal firebox systems, we concluded that they just wanted too much for too little. When we saw the 2-door fireplace screen from Plowhearth, we realized we could have the looks we wanted at a fraction of the cost. My only concern was that some reviews had discussed shoddy workmanship, while other reviews seemed to rave about the overall construction and look. I would definitely say that we are now firmly in the latter category. We love the screen and we are quite happy with the workmanship. We also acquired the fireplace tool set that is in matching design. We couldn't be happier with our choice and highly recommend both sets to others.

This screen is exactly what I was looking for, to use in front of my 80 year old fireplace. It matches perfectly with the two beveled glass windows on either side of my fireplace.

Screen is beautiful. We installed with both front and back support legs. With our fireplace, this still allows the screen to sit flush with the fireplace face. Very sturdy. We're happy with this purchase and would buy again.

It's summer so we haven't yet used this fireplace screen. I was impressed by it's quality especially in view of the price. Very attractive art deco pattern without all the colored glass some other art deco stained glass screens have. Good accent if you don't want alot of color.

This fireplace door is very attractive and it looks very expensive. We love it on our white brick. No regrets. Easy to install. Just screw in the legs and it's ready. Very happy with the product. Would recommend. The doors were perfect too.

This is a beautiful screen but on arrive it was missing a front brace. I called the company and they said they would send the extra brace but that was only 2 days ago and of course it has not arrived.

Gorgeous screen, WOW! I couldn't use the back feet because my hearth is not at the same level as my granite "counter". But, no need, the screen stays put and even when the doors are open, it stays in place. I am soooo glad I bought the larger size based on other reviews because it fits perfectly with only an inch on either sides. The measures are true to form. I think my screen looks gorgeous because the surroundings around the fireplace (behind the screen) are black granite tiles. Don't think this would look good with a white background. Had to contact customer service and the lady was really nice, helpful and professional. I will definitely order again from this company.

The door don't close all the way it is not balanced
the tool set is ugly and it is not worth the price.
The screen door is not bad looking but in my case it was too dark.

I purchased this screen 1 1/2 months ago and received it in 2 days. The service is excellent. It was easy to put together, however we realized that if we put the back legs on, it wouldn't fit. We put the screen up anyway, and it stands solid on its own plush against the fireplace. We have gas logs and were told not to use glass doors, but because this screen is so well ventilated, it works great. The doors open and close beautifully, but there is a slight gap at the bottom below the handles. Other than that, it's perfect. Be sure to measure and get the one that best fits your opening. We bought the larger one and wish I hadn't, because the arch at the top of the doors goes above our fireplace opening just a little. I feel that takes away from the beauty of the screen. But it is well made overall.

We love this screen. Replaced the mesh screen we've had for many years. So nice to have doors now instead of a sliding screen that was always difficult to open. The glass in beautiful and holds up to the heat of a well established fire. There are times I need to open the doors slightly which will allow a little more heat into the room. Solid construction and very pretty design.

Purchased Sept. of 2011. Quick delivery, well packaged. So simple to set up. Quality is very good, absolutely no complaints. Screen was purchased to cover the mesh type hanging screen which came with the gas logs. Ours is unvented, so doors are not allowed. This screens adds a touch of style! The look of doors, but still plenty of ventilation. The difference in looks is almost unbelievable. It sets well, no tipping. Handles are evenly matched also. Love the look of the flames behind the glass!

We were able to pick this up at the Outlet Store in Madison on sale and I could not be more pleased. It is heavy, very stable, and the doors open nicely. The screen has legs on the back in addition to the decorative scrolled feet in the front so it does not tip forward when the doors are opened. It fit our fireplace beautifully and looks so pretty.
