My husband and I are very disappointed with this item. It is a beautiful plant stand; however, my husband is, right now, making his own supports to put on the plant stand to hold it together. When we received it, he put it together quickly and it wasn't difficult. Then, he noticed that there were no pieces to secure to the stand with the nuts and bolts that were provided. The middle of each section..the straight section and each of the two side sections had no support pieces to secure the stand. Consequently, the shelves kept falling. I called and explained this to your representative, who was a very nice man and he knew exactly what I was talking about and said I would receive these supports. We waiting for seven days and when we did receive the package, it was the wrong thing. The items were simply more sections of the plant stand, which we already have. Apparently, where you get this item, they don't know how to include important pieces to complete the order. We are extremely disappointed with Plow and Hearth. I think my husband will be able tu buy what he needs at the hardware store, but this is not right. The original plant stand arrived in good condition, but the package it came in was extremely damaged, with holes in the box, etc. My thinking is that, perhaps the pieces we're missing fell out. We aren't even able to send it back because we can't locate a big enough box. We were not asked to send it back, but, as I said, luckily for me, I think my husband will be able to fix it..I'm being very generous when I give a 3 star for this item. I would not recommend it to a friend, or enemy for that matter.

This plant stand was easy to put together and seems solid. It is perfect for my cactus collection. It exceeded my expectations!

I was somewhat apprehensive after reading the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance anyway. After getting the unit (one straight and one corner), assembling it and moving the pieces around several times to find the perfect location, my wife and I have come to the conclusion that the negative reviewers must have been talking about a different product ! Assembly was simple, the unit is as solid as anything we've seen and, while the "clip together" assembly could cause a problem in blindly grabbing and moving the unit, my wife noticed that if she held two of the pieces together at two of the clip points, we could move it as often as needed.

It currently holds my herb garden of 15, 6 inch containers, plus a few assorted flowers for some accent. It makes a beautiful and totally useful display, and we could not be more pleased.

Holds lots of plants big and small. I put it by a window. the low light plants on the side and the others in the middle for the light. My plants are doing fantastic. Delivery was great, got it sooner than expected although one little part was missing, but we improvised. Great product, looks good.

This product has good design and uses quality material. However, the workmanship is terrible. The frame is distorted. Parts do not fit properly. Corner clips are missing from both the first shipment and the replacement. I finally use steel wire to fix it myself. Now, I have to take the heavy defect package to UPS in order to ship it back. Not worth the trouble!

I still love this plant stand even though it too low to the ground. I kept the stand but returned the trays since they do not fit the stand. After reassembling the stand several times I finally figured out they don't work. (I tried reassembling the shelves upside down but then that didn't work when I tried to attach the center leg to the bottom shelf) It's a design flaw. I would recommend the stand to a friend but the trays will always be a problem as they are not in any way secured to, or fit inside the frame of the shelves.

I - LOVE - THIS - PLANT STAND! It's powder-coated with epoxy resin (whatever that is? enamel?) so it should not rust. It was easy to assemble. Very attractive and sturdy. However I do agree with one of the other reviews that suggested it could be a bit higher from the ground. The bottom shelf is 5" from my floor/deck. 8" - 10" would be better. I don't plan to raise it up since it would take away from the aesthetics.

i ordered online and originally no shipping charges but checking out I saw a $14.99 fee and was not going to confirm the purchase (I did not confirm) but it processed anyway and I did not receive free shipping. I could have gone to a local store and find something similar with no shipping charges.

We are extremeely pleased with the plant stands. We now can display all our orchids on the plant stands. It works great for the 20+ orchids and cactus.

I am using this for a collection of succulents. I would have liked the shelves to have different widths. However, it still works and the plants can be seen from my kitchen although I have them at the back of the patio.

The first corner assembled so easily and looked GREAT! Then, it was nothing but problems-the welding made the back of the middle unit so uneven that one foot didn't even touch the ground. And the connector for one of the shelves was so tight, there was no way to install the shelf. The other corner - the corner connections didn't match up and was unusable. The unit looked like it had been returned and then shipped to me. The one part that actually assembled looked great, but I'm not sure even then, that it's worth the money.

This shelving unit along with trays filled a need for a display of my Africian Violets. Especially appreciated trays that keep water from overwatering from going all over my floor

It is much smaller than I expected, so I had to build a platform to raise it to the height I need. Metal is bad for my new brick patio, so I had to wrap the feet in plastic until my platform is ready. Too much work.

Parts were missing, so I had to buy my own, and it needs ties to secure the pieces together. There was also a broken piece.

The shelving unit goes together smoothly and is well construsted. I would have given it a 5, but the trays do not fit as securely on the shelves and can slid around.

Promptly shipped, attractive unit. I ordered the corner and straight stands (total unit as shown in the catalogue). First try, the side panels enclosed were not what was needed -- too many As and too little Bs. Called and got the replacement quickly but, while it was a side panel "B" it was not going to work because it needed to be a "left side" panel. The instructions don't show a right and left side panel for the straight unit but it cannot be assembled without them. And, upon receiving a box with every conceivable side panel (six in total), there actually is a "left" side panel that fits on the straight unit (has to be a female with connectors on the inside and leaves on the outside). So I now have the unit assembled and 7 extra side panels I do not know what to do with. I'll figure it out. Thanks to all the WONDERFUL service folks who worked with me.

This is a nice plant stand that can be used outdoors without the trays to allow for easy watering and drainage and then moved indoors with the trays to catch water for wintering.

As previously noted, the stand is fitted together vs. bolted together so is difficult to move without it all coming apart. But the assembly is easy and a one-person job so that is a minor inconvenience.

The planter is modular - you can use the straight pieces and corners in various combinations. Very nice.

Quality is good and has weathered well this year. This is exactly what I wanted as I am an avid gardener who needed a rack for starting new plants in smaller pots and for growing herbs and houseplants in small-medium sized pots outside of the kitchen door as a "cooks garden".

I move the corners of the stand around as needed to hold containers of flowers. Great on patio!

The plant stand is nice -- looks great on porch. The problem was the service to get it -- item arrived with a broken piece (one of the sides of the stand). Customer service offered to send out a replacement. Unfortunately, two times the wrong part was sent. I purchased this as a gift and sadly it took 6 weeks before I could give it to the person.

When I saw this plant stand, I thought it would be perfect for holding my outdoor plants when I brought them in for the winter. Unfortunately, most of my potted plants (gardenia, Christmas cactus, begonia) are too big for the narrow shelves. Once the trays are added, forget about it - only the smallest pots fit then.
Once the stand is put together don't think about moving it, the unit is "fit" together rather than held together with screws so the fit can come undone with slight movement.
It is a cute stand and I am using it for small plants but I will have to keep looking for something that suits my needs for the larger ones.
One friend who commented on how she'd like a unit like this has African violets and primrose plants which would fit nicely.
I am not clicking on whether or not I would recommend this to a friend as it would depend on what they were looking to use it for and it would be a bit misleading and unfair for me to say either way.

Love that I can bring my plants in from the cold, then put them out when the weather warms. Keeps everything neat, and watering doesn't go all over the floor.

The product is really good looking. But when we tried to assemble, the center support leg on the bottom broke when turning the screw. Propped the broken leg support under the stand and still used.

Summer flower pots and planters have not always had a good home for the season, but we now have everything placed, and they look beautiful. The plant stand is durable, easy to put together, and won't be blown away by the constant wind off Lake Superior. We have been totally pleased by this purchase.
