In my previous review, I mentioned my initial concerns about the detached bowl of this birdbath. On June 29, we experienced a huge derecho storm which knocked down part of my neighbor's fence but left my Telford bird bath solidly in place with the bowl undisturbed.

The subdued classic design of this birdbath appealed to me. I bought it to be the centerpiece of my new backyard garden bed, where it provides a lovely foil for the flowers around it. The quality is excellent. It certainly seems to attract birds to the yard.

At first I was a little concerned that the bowl does not attach to the base, but I soon found it to be very convenient for cleaning out the bowl. The bottom of the bowl has a raised ring that helps center it on the base and keep it in place. Some rather large birds have taken very vigorous baths in it, and the bowl remains in place. I would not place it where an uninformed passerby might lean on it, however.

The shipping packaging was sturdy and very protective.

I was very pleased with this item and will keep an eye out for more Burleigh products.
