I ordered 4 of these and am very pleased. I needed a simple stool which would tuck under the counter when not in use. These are perfect. They are attractive with a durable finish. Swivel fine. I have had mine for several years with no complaints. Once in a great while, my husband turns them over and retightens the screws. Perfect stool for small area.

product was not of the quality I've come to expect from P&H. You did replace the damaged one w/a white stool w/natural seat. That stool was of a much better quality than the first two--makes me think that I should send the other natural stool back and replace it with a white one. but I have still yet to recieve a bill of lading. READ BEFORE ASSEMBLY!
People have complained about the assembly specifically that the "holes don't line up correctly". This is true. So, to fix this, do not simply assume that the screw holes that are marked on the bottom of the stool seat (which set the foundation for the rest of the assembly) are in the correct spots. The initial assembly step, step one in the picture-diagram, requires that the the two parallel pieces directly under the stool seat, be correctly alligned. TIP: You will probably have to mark your own screw holes as the ones that came from the factory on my stools were off line. Simply draw a line with pencil to line up the correct spot for the two wood brackets that set the width for the rest of the assembly.
Don't give up! Some adjustments and back-stepping may be necessary to make the pieces all fit correctly. It took me over an hour to assemble each stool, not without some aggravation and hard work with the screwdriver.
The finished product came out OK. The stools came together but the pieces don't fit 100% perfect. You are getting what you pay for, and these are not for people who weigh more than 200 lbs. In fact, I'd say they are perfect for older kids and young adults.

I have ordered from P & H numerous times and have always been pleased with your products; however, these barstools, as predicted in the reviews, are not in any way the quality I have come to expect from P & H. As stated in the reviews THE SCREW HOLES DO NOT MATCH UP!!!!!!!! Also the round part of the seat has a big crack in it. I will not pay for the shipping to return these stools. P LEASE SEND A UPS LABEL FOR RETURN and credit my account. Shame on you for continuing to use this companys product when you know that it is defective. You stated in your review that you were working to resolve this defect but apparently you have not. Not sure I will ever order from P & H again!

When we decided to buy a couple of counter-height stools to go with our new kichen island, we looked in several stores and catalogues. Once again, P&H had a great product at an amazing price. It only took me a few minutes to assemble them, and even my husband was surprised at that! The swivel feature is great. For their size and cost they are an excellent buy. Very happy, as usual.

Normally painted - got the natural wood and the finish is rough or uneven in places people are likely to touch or put their feet. Needs some sanding and a good coat protective sealant. Otherwise, perfect for breakfast bar, casual seating, light-weight sturdy construction. Swivel seat works well.

I purchased 5 of these stools (counter height) and love them. They were 'very' easy to assemble and are 'very' sturdy and well made. I am a woman and had no problem with the easy assembly process. I would recommend them.

Very poor quality. Pre-drilled screw holes did not match holes in swivel plate. Chair would not swivel, even with two people holding and trying to make it do so. The swivel was steel to steel with no ball bearings or even nylon bearings. Ordered four and sent all four back.

Two of the 25" bar stools were received. One was missing a part and neither stool matched up to the holes in order to construct.

I ordered these for my mountain cabin and they are perfect. I had guests over last weekend and everyone gathered around the bar on the stools and loved them. My brother-in-law put them together in less than an hour with no problems. I have the green ones and the color really pops!

We use these green stools at our kitchen island. We purchased 3 stools 5 years ago and love them. we needed another stool so we ordered one. As soon as I took the stool out of the box I knew the colors were off. I have since noticed the new one is a bit taller than the others and the woods are different. the screw covers have a tendency to pop out often if you are too lazy to glue them in like us. That being said, we are not that picky and continue to enjoy the stools. just buy all at one time to keep the colors the same!

Love the look of this stool but my husband had an awful time putting it together. I would have sent it back but he pursued. And it's still not the sturdiest stool in the world. If you're not good at solving a puzzle, don't purchase this product. Sorry!!!!

The stools were not well made. "Some assembly required" and the pieces needed extra work to mate properly. Cheap construction but you get what you pay for.

I got three of these stools. They are sturdy, stable and I like being able to scoot them under the island in my tiny kitchen. They're just a bit narrow for most adults.

Although it is a nice looking stool, I feel it would not stand up to constant use. Parts did not match up upon assembly and I needed to use wood glue to be certain they would hold together. It's not a stool I would consider for "heavy duty" use. I originally ordered 3, but upon assembling one, returned the remaining two unopened.

Swivel mechanism does not work smoothly - too much friction.
Arrived with 2 holes missing for connecting struts during assembly - had to drill them myself.

I ordered 3 swivel stools and they were very easy to assemble and keep clean. Over 6 weeks in use and they still look great-no scuff marks or chipped paint.
Tip-have a mallet handy, it'll be a huge help.
