I have had problems with water retention in other gazing ball stands. This is open and can be staked away from mowing areas. Great idea!

Bought a silver stainless steel ball about 12 years ago. It is left outside in all weather. Just wash it off and it looks great.

I already own a stainless steel gazing ball that I purchased from you many years ago. I just added two more to my collection. They are lovely in a grouping in our Garden Bath patio area. These two new balls are a bit smaller and just a tad less colorful but still lovely.

The globe was the perfect size but the picture makes it look much shinier than it actually is. The stake is great and the size of the globe is perfect but the globe was just so dull!!!

I am using this beside my cement patio, and it shows off my gazing ball nicely. Thought it would be a little taller, but it works fine.

I am very disappointed in the gazing ball. The finish faded in one month. It is no longer properly reflective - it is dull and disappointing.

I once had a glass globe which eventually broke. This time I ordered the stainless steel. The photo used for stainless steel globe seems to be the same used for glass. So I was a bit dismayed to find my Mystic ball was blurred & murky. If you want highly reflective, shiny--go for glass. If you want durability, go steel.

I was dissapointed the colors were nothing like in the catalog, more faded and not bright. I kept it as it was different from the many others I already have. The stand is great for displaying the gazing ball and I may purchase more of them.

The picture shown is the item I ordered but there must be something in their garden that brings out these colors. I was really disappointed in the multi colored ball I received as the tri color is no where near as vibrant as the picture. I would have returned it but did not want to pay shipping back. On the other hand I can always buy another ball in a different color and use the stand which is perfect! This stand is better than the one I bought 10 years ago.

The blue ball I purchased this summer was placed in the garden in full sun. The top third of the ball is discolored and faded--apparently it is meant only for shady areas.

I have had 2 others, both glass, and in a heavy wind, they were pushed off their stands and shattered in a million pieces. This one has held up in severe winds and rains and never moved and inch. Color is vibrant and I just love it.

I purchased a steel gazing ball from Plow and Hearth about 6 years ago and it has been outdoors in my garden for all that time. The past few summers in TX have been very hot and the finish started to deteriorate, so I was pleased to see that you still sold them. However, I was so disappointed in the finish that I returned it. It was scratched and looked battered. Honestly, it was almost as bad as the 6 year old one! The replacement arrived yesterday, and while the finish is not as scratched as the one I returned, it still does not measure up to the original. I will use it, but I'm not expecting it to weather very well. Perhaps another finish might be better - I ordered Mystic.

The stand was perfect to place the ball in just the right location. Not a lot of bare space with lillies so the stake stand was exactly what I needed. The blue color I selected for the ball is beautiful - vibrant and bright ! My grandson loves it.

This gazing ball and stand work perfectly where I have put it, it was the perfect size. I like that the stand is a stake, would not have been able to use any other type stand.

The ball it beautiful, the stake sturdy and attractive. I love the color, shape, and special shine/reflection among the garden plants. The last ball I got from P&H faded in the sun after 2 years. (I turned it around so the side I see most is still blue).
