Easy to fill and fun to watch. But the nuts/seeds get all wet and moldy. The box gets grimy. However, the plexiglass front is removable so it's easy to sweep out. But it gets moldy. The squirrels love it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We had a riot watching the squirrls trying to figure this box out. The red squirrls had no problem but the grey ones took a little longer to figure it out. The deer beat it up. I plan on getting another one next year.
