Even the package this item came in was reminiscent of the 60's and really took me back to my childhood Christmas days. Love it and highly recommend it as well.

This is the first time I have had this chime since I was a kid. I had one as a child and it was my all time favorite Christmas decoration. I would always want to light the candles and hear the "tink tink tink" of the chimes. That sound is Christmas to me.

I lit the candles to try it out. It took awhile for the angles to start moving to ring the bells. I left the room for awhile, came back and the candles were totally melted and wax was all over - so glad it was on glass and not wood! If you want it to just sit and look pretty, it's fine. If you want to use it, don't leave the room!

I remembered these chimes from my childhood, we had one at our house but my mother did not put it out but at my grandma's there was one to enjoy. I have purchased 3 in the past, one sadly was very cheaply made and got thrown out, 2 were great but have been misplaced and I hope to find them. I saw this one and ordered it to fill in the gap left by the ones that are misplaced. It just arrived, sadly it is not the "brass" I thought it would be. Actually the box says "BRASS effect" then brass plated steel underneath. I haven't lit the candles yet to see if it sounds like my others. Other than the materials it is made from it does remind me of the ones I remember and also had. At least it is a relatively inexpensive reminder of a great memory.

I bought the chimes for my family because I had a similar set growing up as a child. I was so disappointed in the quality - very flimsy, the angels keep falling off. The candles that came with the set were all melted and bent coming out of the box, and the additional set I purchased were also bent, they must have been stored somewhere very hot at some point. I was surprised at this lack of quality in a Plow and Hearth product.

My brother and I were mesmerized by this product when we were children in the 70's, and now my daughters love ours too. The candles burn down quickly though, so don't expect this to tinkle sweetly all night long. Also, cleaning is somewhat difficult and hazardous -- I gouged the heck out of a finger with a curved leaf of one of the candle holders while cleaning off the wax.

These chimes are just like the original holiday chimes of years ago. They weren't easy to find, the only place where the original quality is still built-in was here at Plow & Hearth. Thanks for allowing us to get back some pleasant memories and a little holiday nostalgia.

We had one of these when I was growing up and I loved watching it move and listening to the chimes as it moved. I was so excited to see this at Plow and Hearth because I now have a baby girl and I knew she would enjoy it too, which she did!

We had this Chime on our table at Christmas meals when I was growing up. I was thrilled to find the product, it brought back many wonderful childhood memories. I enjoyed sharing this chime with my children and will for many Christmases to come!

this chime is the cutest holiday direction at a very good price and very good quality! other's may look the same, but the quality just isn't there from the other sellers who sell it cheaper. i am very happy and plan on purchasing more as gifts for next year! also fits any 4 inch tall by 1/2 inch wide candles, which is handy. i highly recommend this chime for anyone! the chime also has very soothing and suttle sound, so adorable also to see the angels spin around!

I was hoping to bring back my childhood memories of lighting the advent candle each week before Christmas with my kids.However, I was very disappointed. The design is the same as I remember it but it is very small. The candles do not generate enough heat to make the angles turn and hit the chimes.By the time I paid for extra candles and shipping the item cost almost [$] dollars. Not worth it!

I saw this on Plow and Hearth's website and couldn't resist ordering it. Growing up, my mother would pull this chime set out every Christmas and I just loved it. It's just like the one I remember and I couldn't be happier with it. The candles do, however, burn just as fast as they did way back when - so if you're thinking about buying extra candles go ahead and do so!

It's a Christmas tradition in our home! At the beginning of every Christmas Season, Mom would open the box, filled with Christmas decorations and the Angel Chimes. As the chimes were assembled and the candles lit, the sound of tinkling brass would fill the room and we three little girls would dance and sing for this was the beginning of Chrismas. Although our Mom has since passed, we, sisters, continue the tradition of the Angel Chimes in our own homes with our children and our grandchildren. Thank you.
