After so many recent power outages in the Northeast becuase of hurricanes, snowstorms, and heavy rains, I was looking for simple, inexpensive, and safe lighting alternatives. This jar works as advertised and provides backup lighting in case of emergency. The battery can be solar charged and the energy can be stored for later use. As bright as a candle, and you can carry it around without fear of an open flame, dripping wax, or burning. Minor complaint, the switch labels on the jar aren't the same as the directions.

Love it! Not sure how useful it is, but looks very cute on a table. Great little conversation piece. Bought a couple for hostess gifts. Don't know what Ch1 and Ch2 means on label. If it's suppose store light on both sides mine doesn't.

I previously sent in a review, but wish to amend it now.
Guess I thought I was still living in Fl., not as much sun in Maine.
We had a bright and sunny day. I took the jars out of the window and put them on the patio table in full sunlight. Needless to say, what an improvement.
