Have two residences and use for both. Wedges provide great light and safety. Use cap lights on deck and patio fence. No problem changing batteries, but would like to be able to replace bulbs so I won't need to buy new lights.

I expected this product to produce more light then it does. The solar panel is in full sun during the day but outputs a very low light at night. I would like to test the amount of lumens it outputs. The light does stay on all night long which probably compensates for low power consumption.

If you want something every visitor will immediately ask 'what are these?' Buy and install these. Mostly for design effects they also are useful for steps, open spaces for illumination. Be careful installing- the sun can move different parts of the year. Also don't install where it is difficult to get up & change or replace when batteries and/or solar strip dies. Replace batteries with quality ones for longer periods of battery life. For the price you can't go wrong. Never have found anything similar in the 4 years of using them any place else.

After my mother fell,we installed the wedge lights on our deck railings adjacent to the stairs. They were the perfect thing! Easy to install, works great and even adds ambiance to our deck at night.

I installed the solar wedge light around all 4 sides of my 3 story home, the upper and lower decks and staircases, the lower patio and the 250 foot long retaining wall the keeps my rear yard from falling down the nearly perpendicular hillside. The lights perform a valuable lighting solution for the front porch walkway, garage door, and rear yard sidewalk to the basement door. The placement on the upper and lower deck columns and spindles helps with night-time enjoyment and the retaining wall that the neighbors and the deer can look at at night gives me an unique home in the middle of the subdivision sameness all around me. Very easy to install, the body itself lasts a long time, but you do need to change the solar batteries about once a year and cloudy/rainy days really affect the brightness but it still comes out much cheaper than electricity. For something unique and easy to live with I recommend this product and be prepared to be explain proudly what they are to visitors, neighbors and passer-bys.

Wish it gave off more light but at least youcan see the steps that were not visible without the solar lights.
