Comments about Product: This fan is so great. We just put in a brand new wood stove and didn't want a loud electric blower. It is a magic fan - quiet, circulates the air in our living room. Everyone is puzzled how it works.
Comments about Product: This is a cool little unit. Sure seems to help.
Comments about Product: This works perfect for our 1200 square foot home! We used to use our ceiling fan to bring the cold air to the living room where our wood stove is, then the warm air would move into the bedrooms... Now this does the job, and for free! Love it! I think it actually works better than the ceiling fan!
Comments about Product: Our kitchen is the furthest room from our wood stove. Its temperature had been about 7-10 degrees lower then the rest of the house. The day we put the Ecofan on our wood stove, our kitchen became 5 -7 degrees wormer. This fan exceeded our expectations.
The fan does have some limitations. It will get damaged it dropped and your stove can not get hotter then 600 degrees. For this reason, we purchased a thermometer that attaches to our stove pipe so we can monitor the temperature of the stove.
Other then that, we are very happy with the fan and so glad we bought it!

Absolutely Love it!!!
Comments about Product: Liked it so well that I just bought another as a gift for my family.
Great fan and energy free.
Comments about Product: Great fan that moves heat into the sunroom rather than it going to the ceiling.
15 yrs-like new and NO COLD AIR EVER!
Comments about Product: Bought 15 yrs ago from P&H. No warping; finish looks brand new Gold fan blades not flashy.Gentle heat-no blast of hot air to dry skin/eyes. No cold air ever!! Every woodstove should wear one Great gift year round!
Comments about Product: Worked great - then broke a week later. Return was easy and got a replacement quickly. Very happy with the product - makes a huge difference in circulating heat.
Great quiet little fan moves hot air
Comments about Product: The expense may deter most, but it is well worth the money for how it moves the heat from your stove into the room. It is super quiet.

Comments about Product: Works just like its supposed to. Keeps the whole two story house warm. Had no idea that this small fan would work so well & it's so quiet I have to look to make sure it's running.
I like it.
Comments about Product: It worked well the first year. This year I was having trouble with it. It wouldn't spin. I found out the stove wasn't hot enough. When the stove got real hot it was spinning like crazy. I love that it's totally quiet and takes no electricity.
Comments about Product: we've used this fan for years and love it. it circulates the heat really well and the blades spin fast and smooth. the only gripe i have is that it's a little difficult to clean the dust off of, but canned air does the trick. it's an amazing little thing and i wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
Comments about Product: I used this on my woodstove all last Winter. Loved it. This year it quit working after about a week of working. Guess the temp. got too hot for it. What could have gone wrong?? Is it fixable.
Comments about Product: I wish I would have gotten the more powerful one. it is so quiet, you can't even hear it.
not for everyone
Comments about Product: I own an insert, and try as I might to make sure the temperature stayed below 650 degrees the unit still seems to work less well with each use. Hope that they would design the unit to be able to handle insert conditions, that is, allow the fan to be placed somewhere besides at the back a stove. With an insert, one simply cannot do that.

Quality Well Made Product
Comments about Product: We have had two of these fans sitting on top our wood stove for thirteen years, running 7 months out of the year, and they still keep whirring. Great high quality product.
At our suggestion, many of our friends now own these.
This was a fantastic purchase ;)
Comments about Product: We got the large fan and was pleasantly surprised at how well this fan works at dispersing the heat into the room. Amazingly you can't feel the air movement and yet it has consistently brought the temperature up by 5 degrees. We are extremely pleased with the fan. Well worth the money spent, we were concerned it was not worth the price. Oh, yes it is!

Ecofan: Fantastic Invention!
Comments about Product: I use the small Ecofan on my woodstove and wall heater at home. This fantastic invention is perfect for heat circulation especially during winter power outages! I save money on electricity because it doesn't need any!
quiet green at work !
Comments about Product: Have used this entire cold winter and heard the oil heat clicking on less often as fan better disseminates wood stove air throughout our great room. Place it and forget it. No need to set or adjust anything after initial optimization trial.
Pleased with fan.
Comments about Product: Works well, moves alot of warm air.
Perfect fit for us!
Comments about Product: As a secondary fan on our wood stove this fan fit the bill. It is light weight and easy to position. Great for when the electricity is off and you still get air circulation.
A little costly, but well worth it in the end.
It works !!!!
Comments about Product: Purchased the fan for my son. His principle source of heat is his wood stove. He reports that this product extends the warmth much further and operates quietly.
Comments about Product: I wish it had moved more air around and then it just stopped working...I returned it[...]
Exceeded expectations..its like majic!!!
Comments about Product: works like a charm placed on top of wood burning stove & really moves the warm air out into the rest of the house. Purchased as a gift for my husband & he was pleasantly pleased with its performance.
Comments about Product: We have now purchased 2 of the Ecofans, so we obviously think they are great little workhorses. Pushes heat to corners of room.

My Husband loves it!!
Comments about Product: The room could get so hot at times I'd ask my Husband to open the front door!!. This little fan works like magic and IS magic!!
functions well in a small space
Comments about Product: I would probably buy the largert one if I had the chance to re-do the purchase, but I like the produce
So great I bought one for my other stove
Comments about Product: Using it as advertised helps me heat my 2 story house with a small gas stove!
superb in every respect
Comments about Product: [...]quality is tops and we use this for top of our wood stove. i would get the large one like we did
Nifty little gadget, a little pricey
Comments about Product: I gave this as a gift for my parents to use on their new soapstone wood stove. It doesn't move a whole lot of air, but does help some to distribute the heat from the stove. The main advantage is that it requires no power. It lets you know when the stove is up to optimal temperature for the catalytic converter by the speed the fan is going.
Very little airflow from the fan
Comments about Product: I had high hopes for this fan. We have two woodstoves and use two box fans to move air around. I bought the large fan for my husband on Christmas hoping to eliminate one of the box fans. The airflow from this fan was hardly noticeable and didn't help move the air around the room at all. The size of the room is about 15' x 25'. Maybe the fan would make a difference in a small room.

This Fan is the Best!
Comments about Product: This fan helps to warm the whole house faster (1800 sq. ft). It is one of the best purchases I have ever made!
performs as advertised but does not move
Comments about Product: performs as advertised
Kind of expensive but is worth it.
Comments about Product: Works great on a small wood burning stove. Circulates well and speed lets you know when its time to add wood. No electric or batteries is a great plus so no added expenses. A real conversation piece.
Comments about Product: I purchased the fan in hopes that it could move hot air from the Buck stove into the room should the utility power go out (as it has in the past). It can barely move the smoke of an extinguished match.
Very cute and fun to watch. The physics are way cool. But for an "off the grid" item...no way.
By Pleases Customer
Comments about Product: We couldn't be more pleased with this fan! Tho it is not as powerful as the electric blower we have, it still circulates the hot air out into the room with NO noise and no elctricity! It does a great job!
What a workhorse this fan is !!
Comments about Product: We love this little fan so much. It just works beautifully for the purpose that it was intended.
Comments about Product: I have a woodstove in a fireplace insert-I was losing so much heat up the chimney until this year when I bought this fan--it circulates heat like no other and it is finally warm in my cold Maine home! Thank you thank you thank you!
Works like magic!
Comments about Product: Our wood stove is in a large room so it's harder to actually feel the direct effect of the fan, but it is a great indicator to let us know whether or not the fire is well stoked and burning hot! On a less practical level, the science that causes the fan to work is a great conversation piece and "brain warmer" for elementary school aged children.
It works just as advertised,
Comments about Product: It warms our 16x16 room very well. The hotter the fire the faster it moves the air.
A neat little unit
Comments about Product: This does make the air movement more efficient over the stove and so the heat is spread better. And a great conversation piece when people come over! My engineer father always commented on mine so I got him his own.
Comments about Product: This fan is wonderful; it turns on and off by itself. The hotter the stove gets, the faster the fan circulates the air. We love it!!! We had a different type before; it didn't need electricity either, but you had to start it manually. It was very inconvenient; you are not always awake, or home, when the stove is hot enough to start the fan. This fan is perfect!
By ruby the quillbow
Lets you know when stove is cooling down
Comments about Product: Besides the quality workmanship of this little beauty it is a great temperature guage to know how the fire is burning and when to add more wood. It is quite the center of conversation as we sit around the fire and watch the little fan spin. We love it!
Love this fan!!!!
Comments about Product: We have a fairly large wood stove which we use to heat our home. We've tried various fans to keep the air moving since the stove has no blower on it. This one exceeds them all! It requires no electric cords (Nice to avoid around a hot stove!); it runs extremely quietly (The most we hear is the hum if it really gets moving.) I figured it would get noisy after a few months of use, but it didn't! We love it! The only thing I would change is that we might have needed to get the larger fan option for our situation.
Comments about Product: We put the fan on our wood burning stove - it works awesome! We have melted several fans before this just trying to ciculate the warm air.
Not What Advertised
Comments about Product: It has little usefulness in terms of moving air around the room. All we use it for is an indication of how hot the stove is. Might still buy it, but not sure.

Love the stove fan
Comments about Product: We have a Lopi wood stove & it was great this winter having the fan. We love it, sorry we hadn't bought one earlier
Redistribution of heat works great
Comments about Product: We use the fan to redirect the heat to different places in the family room. It is great because we are using no electricity and it produces minimal sound. It is much better than an electrical fan producing noise. It produces a gentle breeze that won't ruffle the pages of the newspaper or book you may be reading.
Comments about Product: We placed the stove fan on our soapstone wood burning stove and it worked fantastic all year. We are very happy with it. It is quite but does the job of moving the air around the room. Very satisfied.
Comments about Product: Maximize the heat, move air ...
By Ben the hermit
Love it very practical
Comments about Product: I loove this product although wish it was cheaper. I was useing a standard small electric fan before getting this. had t oturn off when fire was out. This tells me how hot the fire ois just by looking how fast the fan is turning and when to more wood is needed. It goes off when heat is low. works without power so I can rely on it even in power failures which is good when need the heat during cold days evenings. I would buy more as needed.
Comments about Product: This was a gift for my parents who love their wood stove. They loved it! Everyone comments on it. Now the stove heats the entire house. Best gift I ever gave them.
Everybody loves it....
Comments about Product: Lite the fire and get the stove going, then magically the fan starts spinning and spreads the heat, way cool item!
Everyone who sees it thinks it's the neatest thing for the woodstover in all of us!
starts right in when the stove gets hot
Comments about Product: We use our woodstove alot, this pushes out the heat when the stove gets hot, it doesn't go up the chimmny anymore. which I had one early
weak and pointless
Comments about Product: I use this fan on a high end wood stove. Thankfully I listened at the stove store and put a ceiling fan in the room, because the stove fan moves absolutely no air whatsoever. This product is seriously overpriced and has no benefits other than its looks.
By Mea Ma
Comments about Product: Use this on my wood stove , it move the air into my kitchen and upstairs. Love it and my fuel bill was lower.
A gift for the guy who has everything
Comments about Product: A gift for my father- in- law is hard to find. This fan keeps him warm using the heat from the small stove in his barn, where he spends quite some time. He loves it and now can end up spending a whole afternoon there, in the coldest of winter seasons.
I would buy this fan again.
Comments about Product: We have this fan on our woodstove. It is very quiet and really helps to circulate the heat.
By Santa's helper
It's a Ten!!!
Comments about Product: We bought it as a Christmas present for our son -- he absolutely loves it! Has ceiling fans, but says this has really added to the circulation of heat. Has it sitting on the top of his woodstove - works like a charm.
Love it,really moves the heat around.
Comments about Product: Very clear.
diff helps to move the air in the room
Comments about Product: 2 fans on stove to push air around the room. Also to push to other rooms.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
