Best slipper ever
Comments about Product:
Most comfortable slipper ever, love the non slip sole. I forget they're slippers and run errands in them. I'm going to buy a pair for my mom and mother in law.

I purchase the indigo pair of dakokta slippers. At first I wasn't to thrilled about the color online but once I received them in the mail I relized how beautiful the color actually was!!! I wear these slippers everywhere; home, mall, school ect. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE!!!!

Unfortunately, I had to return it
Comments about Product:
I so wanted to like this slipper, since I have other UGG boots that I really enjoy wearing. It's true to size with other UGG boots and was really soft and warm. Unfortunately, the stitching on the right shoe dug into my foot and became really painful after just a few moments of wearing. I considered trying to untie and possibly loosen up the stitching a bit, but was afraid I might "mess it up" so that I couldn't return it. Also, the slipper fit snug in the area of the stitching, but the back heel tended to flop loosely on me.

Great slippers
Comments about Product:
I have usually bought fleece-lined slippers from another store, but they do not last. The UGH Dakota slippers are just great! I wear them all day in the house, but when I have to go out in the yard with the dogs, they work just as well - strong tough soles, warm lining and nice looking too. I can't wait to have the excuse to buy another pair for myself!! Even though they are pricey, it is well worth the extra dollars!! And I am doubly glad to have them for this winter as it is already so cold!!

My feet are snug as a bug in my UGGS!
Comments about Product:
I wear my UGG mocs just chillin' in the crib, but these seem durable enough for brief stints outside. These mocs are very comfortable and cute as a button. They fit well and offer minor foot support. Get these... you will be a happy camper!

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
