We have purchased 2 sets of these, and my husband was very pleased with the design and the ease of use, so we purchased 2 more sets. (We have a lot of firewood to store). The only issue we had was that you have to ensure they are on completely level, solid ground. We had a problem where one rack started to sink into the ground on one end and it caused the stack to topple over. We solved that by putting concrete blocks under the racks so they couldn't sink. They do hold a lot of wood and are easy to put together. They keep it all neatly stacked and look very nice.

We bought 3 sets of these to store firewood. The directions suggested (wood) screws "might" be necessary...well they definitely WERE necessary, as were shims. Although we were careful to buy pristine pressure treated lumber, we still needed to brace the sides w/ an additional piece of wood (more screws!) part way up the side for stability. Still, a good value, just not as easy or as simple an assembly as the directions/reviews would lead one to believe.

Best brackets for wood storage. Can make it as large as I want and it holds up to the weight.
Sturdy way to stack wood
from Washington state
I use the product to stack wood under my roof overhang (I have a wide overhang). It results in a neat-looking stack of wood that is protected from rain etc. The brackets are well made and quite easy to assemble.

Would buy again as it is easy to assemble in whatever site is convenient. The larger split pine logs fit well and secured the base. It was placed on top of railroad ties in full sun to promote drying.

Pressure treated 2x4s too wide to fit
By Dave the family handyman
from Metro Atlanta
The brackets are about 1/8 - 3/16" too narrow to accomodate std pressure treated 2x4s available at home improvement centers. I had to trim the boards to accomodate the brackets which was a real pain even when using a table saw. It took MUCH longer than expected to assemble the wood rack because of this issue. It would be a great product if they would modify the dimensions slightly.

Brackets work Great
from SW Ohio
Brackets work Great! Used treated 2 X 4s to build firewood braces. Makes Job very easy. I used 8 ft long by 4 ft tall by 20 inch wide framework. Could have made it without the brackets, but it would have taken longer and this made a safe, sturdy device.

I did have to plane one of my 2x4 's slightly for proper fit (probably the fault of the lumber but realize that this is a precise tight fit)
Allows you to customize a rack to fit
I use this on my porch--painted to match & built to use the 11 ft width. Went together easily. The only negative is they don't sell single pairs--I'd like to section off one end for small stuff.

Works just like it says!!
from Ruston, LA
I have several sets. I use it by the rear entrance for "easy to reach" firewood. I have my "dry" wood stored in another, my "still seasoning" wood in another, and my logs that still need splitting in another. Depending on the material used for the framing, you can make it as sturdy as you need and can attach the unit to a wall or a beam.
Directions were a bit ambigous.

Advise that in asembly the lenght of the wood to be stacked will dictate the width size of the wood used to assemble it.

Was easy to use. Just cut the wood to the desired length. We stained the wood to protect for outside use.

Had one rack set up in minutes. mind you, you have to have screws, lumber and supplies ready to go. then literally, minutes to set up. I have 10 of these units and will order more as I need them.
