I purchased these to sit on top of my retaining wall end pillars! They are perfect fit, no wiring needed, all I had to do, is place. These lights are bright, and last for hours! They are heavy enough to stand without being fastened to my caps. Hope they last long. LOVE THEM!

these lights give off so much light I don't need to use my porch lights. The weather has been rough and my husband said that they would blow over or blow away. They're still standing where I sat them, and they're not even screwed into anything! If you need light these are the ones to buy.

Doing the job

I purchased these lights for a fence near my garbage cans. They put out great light...much better than my littlier ones that were there. However, I am concerned a bit that after I placed them, it rained that night and there is water inside the unit. It would require quite a bit of unscrewing to get to the water, so for now I am waiting to see if it goes away.

We searched far and wide for solar post lights, and while these weren't my favorite design-wise (re:the cracked glass look in particular), they are an excellent choice. The lights are bright, and they look stately. Unfortunately we just installed them in time for winter, but we've been pleased with their yield so far (we get about 4 -5 hours). I'm sure they'll more than suffice in the summer. Overall, we highly recommend these fantastic solar lights.

not waterproof

We mounted one of these lights on a post outside and it looked beautiful. However, for the price, I expected it to work longer than a week. These lamps don't seem to be made to withstand wet weather. I would recommend taking the lamp apart and sealing around the solar panel before any use outside.
