This is a very tall trellis, so if you are not placing it against a wall, it will need to stabilized at the top against the wind. It would have been a little easier if the legs had spikes on the ends. The trellis is beautiful and fits perfectly in the space for which it was bought. The real drawback for this purchase is that I had to wait FOUR MONTHS for it to arrive.

I love the design of this trellis, however, when I went to put it together, the outside square tubes were not accurate, ie, I had to take a screwdriver and push out the inside of one of the tubes so the top tube could slip into it. I had to tap the metal above the side tubes in order to get them to go inside one another, and the piece of metal I tapped came right off. It was only soldered in about a 32 of an inch spot. What should have taken me 5 minutes took over a half an hour. I kept the trellis even tho there is a part of it missing where I had to tap the sections together. Manufacturing accuracy leaves a lot to be desired.

Love the height
By Susan the stitcher
from Holladay, UT
We got three of these to help screen our once very private but now very open back yard. It's really quite small and was terribly overgrown when we moved in fall before last. We took out three dumpsters full of overgrowth, and then the electric company (there are lines down the back lot line) went to work decimating the rest. There is a six-foot fence, and out lot is 3-4 feet higher than that of the two-story, duplex behind our single-story home. We've planted climbing roses and clematis on the trellises, and the nine-foot height (which we expect the plantings to exceed, should do the job. The only snag was figuring out how to mount the trellises farther from the fence than the welded-on brackets allow, as we couldn't plant that close to the fence; we found brackets designed for drapery rods and used them to extend about 4" out. This also makes it easier to tend to the backside of the plants.
Attractive like picture but bent parts

About Me Getting Started
I wanted a tall trellis to decorate the tall wall in my courtyard entrance. Connecting parts were bent, which I had to straighten in order to fit together, and part of the design was also bent out of shape. Otherwise, it is sturdy and very attractive!

I am using this at the end of a porch and planting Jasmine to climb up it. It is much more than I expected, very sturdy in design and looks great. Thanks Plow & Hearth!

About Me Avid Gardener, Professional Landscaper
Ordered a pair to use as graphic accents in front of a new, stuccoed block wall. After waiting a month to receive them, we were disappointed they arrived bent, but we were not about to send them back. We straightened them out, and even though one still has a kink, flowering vines will eventually mask the imperfection.

Scroll Finial Trellises
I actually ordered two of these trellises, and am very satisfied. I had some landscaping done last summer. The landscaper returned to replant something this June. When she saw my trellises she wanted information to pass on to other customers. I love them!

Great Look, Nice Height

About Me Avid Gardener, High End Shopper
The tall height made this particularly interesting. It suits my purpose perfectly. Generally, I only have a decorative use for things, although any number of climbing plants would do well attached to this, and look lovely. The brackets made it even more sturdy for my use.

Beautiful and functional

I bought 3 of these and liked them so much I ordered 3 more. I am using them against a stucco wall (3 in the front yard and 3 in back) with bougainvillea planted in front. They look great and are holding the plants well. The staked worked well in installing and were very easy. They are still standing straight several months later. A very nice product for the money.

Good Value Nice look
I bought 3 to use as an accent for bougainvillea against my stucco walls in back. Also as a support for new shoots. I liked them so much I got 3 more for the ones in the front. I needed to be sure they would not look cheap or tacky in front. I am very pleased and would recommend them. Just be aware the stakes are part of the height and will be in the ground. So shorter than expected.
Just what we needed!

This tall trellis was just what we needed for our tall clematis plant that is very heavy and vigorous. The clematis seems to love the trellis,
It's fabulous in my garden!
from Hillsborough, CA
It's a beautiful addition to the garden. It fills a void against a blank wall with only a small planting area in front of it. Two Bower Vines are starting to climb and accent the lovely design of the trellis.
I bought this trellis for a Clematis that wasn't getting the support it needed from a shorter and flimsy trellis.
It's very sturdy
