Changed out our pot lights in the kitchen for these

I have been looking at convertible can/pendant lights for years. After reading the good reviews and checking out some facts, I purchased 3 of these for a kitchen island. I like the style/color, and the fact they could take up to a 75 watt bulb (many are only 60 watt). I did have to call and confirm the canopy was 8 inches in diameter to cover the ceiling marks from the old trim ring. It did take a while to figure out how to attach the light socket in the can to the top of the can--the painters had sprayed over some holes when the house was built. The light socket was originally supported on the 2 inch trim ring that lets the lightbulb hang a little bit lower than the can--and the new cord "spring" was too wide to fit in the trim ring support. Wow, we really like the ambiance of the room now! We have them on dimmers.

Great product for the price. They are very attractive and look great in my kitchen. The only problem we had was getting all four of the lights to hang at the same length. It took a lot of trial and error.

I have 7 recessed lights in the kitchen area with 2 perfectly centered over my kitchen island, which I replaced with this pendant fixture. Absolutely perfect...it compliments my decor and ambience of the room. It's the simplest installation and at a great price! I will be ordering 5 more to install down my long entrance hallway...can't wait!

Cannot believe how quickly they went up, less than 10 minutes a lamp. I didn't need any tools other than a ladder to reach the canned lights. But best of all they look as if they came with the house, not an adapter kit.

I use these lights in the kitchen area of my great room and they are so attractive and really dress up the ho-hum can lights that were there. They also added much needed light to the counter areas, especially the island due to the high ceiling.

Save your money on an electrician this pendant lighting is as easy as it is beautiful took a total of 5 min to install. Love my new lighting but most of loved the fact there was no bill from an electrician. I highly recommend this product you wont be wasting your money here!

This was our first order with P&H and given the the value, speed of delivery and beautfiul, professional looking instant upgrade to our kichen, we look forward to ordering again and again. Our only regret is that we do not have more recessed lights we can upgrade! My husband installed these in a snap and the only decision I had to make was how low I wanted the fixtures to hang. I was really surprised to find the part that the cord wraps around to be plastic. I know the light just hangs there, but I hope that it holds up. My sister just bought a new home and they have a can light over the bar. I have already told her she needs to change it to one of these.

We were in the middle of a remodel project for our kitchen and half bath about a month ago. At the time I could not make up my mind on lighting in the half bath, they had these old pendants that hung on a chain and I was trying to pick out lights in the kitchen and family room, so I just needed the bathroom done. I told my contractor to just put in can lights for now. But right after my kitchen got finished I knew my bath needed something more and I didn't want to pay the electrician to come back to install lights, then I found these lights that fit into the already existing can lights on Plow and Hearth, so I ordered then. They came very quickly and I installed them in 15 minutes. Getting the length right was the toughest part, but they added just the right finish to the half bath at a fraction of the cost. I Love them!!!!

I purchased these two for the bathroom, this house we bought has those can/pocket lights in every room and I hate them. I was so excited that these were not made of plastic and were so simple to install, the hardest part was getting the two lights at the same length since they are side by side and even that was not difficult at all. They look great and bring the light down which is better in my opinion. Loved them so much bought 8 more fore other bathroom, kitchen and entry ways.

I installed two of these near my kitchen sink and I cannot say enough good things about them! They are well made and look fantastic, especially for the price!!! They went in so easily and have made such an impact on the look of my kitchen. I also installed five of the bronze simple trim light cap rings in the kitchen... they look perfect together. We bought 4 and it wasn't until we reached the third box did we find the instructions. The booklet was under the bottom layer of cardboard on the very bottom.

I had a "bullseye" light above the sink. It did not give great lighting as the ceilings are high. I purchased this thinking no way would I be able to use it. What a wonderful surprise and beautiful light. I could adjust the length as well as whatever brightness I needed with the bulb. Please if you need a new light for anyplace this is the one!! Don't be afraid purchase it. My sister and brother-in-law are going to now!

I used these lights in our kitchen. They went up easy and look good both when lit and unlit. I would purchase them again. My only negative comment about the lights is that the base cover does not fit as tight to the ceiling as I would like.

Thought it was a bit difficult to get the mount flush to ceiling. Ended up removing and recoiling the wire a few times for each pendant. Also used in smaller recessed light canisters. Had to remove canister shell in order to get pendant lights properly screwed in to light socket...no big deal, but I was worried the pendants might not work at first.

These pendant lights replaced the recessed lights over my kitchen sink. They look great and we have gotten a lot of compliments on them. My husband thought they were fairly easy to install; he had a little difficulty getting them exactly even. The light is a little bright and I may decide to put 40 watt bulbs in them istead of 60. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.
