Comments about Product: This planter was much larger than it appeared on the website. It's a little tricky to get the "bowl" to stay on the base and you can't move it around once you do get it together without taking the 2 pieces apart. Although I won't be able to use it on my porch as I has planned due to it's size I am looking forward to finding a place for it in my garden.
Comments about Product: LOVE this Planter! Very unusual and drop dead gorgeous when filled with plants! AND I got it ON SALE!
Would buy another one!
Comments about Product: It is lovely with the flowers we placed into it. I want to get another one for our front deck. The flowers look great and grew over the edge making it look even better.
Very nice snd attractive
Comments about Product: The shipping box must have been packed by children. The planter arrived in a box that was unsealed on the top and one side. Luckily the delivery people were able to keep it intact because when I received it I was able to pull the planter out of the box without really opening it. I was shocked that it made it to my house without injury.

Nice planter, packaging not so great
Comments about Product: Nice planter so far, hope the finish holds up.
I will buy another next year.
Comments about Product: I use my planter on my front porch. My neighbors have made positive comments about it and want to know where I purchased it. It is large enough to place several good sized plants. I am truly enjoying my new planter.

Comments about Product: I ordered two planters, one was perfect. One has the metal strip that goes around the planter at an angle (slanted downward). Unfortunately I had already planted it before I noticed the flaw so I am not sending it back for replacement. I would suggest you review your quality control. This is not what I have experienced from Plow and Hearth.
Comments about Product: This container was exactly what I was looking for to use in our pool area. Very attractive.

Round Steel Coco Basket Planter
Comments about Product: This planter was worth the wait. It is sturdy, attractive, and appropriate for many outdoor areas. It is large enough to be a solo item or flexible enough to work well with other planters or decorative items.
A little too much bang for the buck
Comments about Product: Use the product for delicate flowers only during the summer. The size of the product is just right. The flaw is its too costly for what it is worth. It is more of mid-range price product.
Finally! Large basket replacement liners
Comments about Product: I've been looking for replacement liners for my large baskets at a reasonable price for quite a while. These do the job!

Very Pleased with Planter
Comments about Product: The planters arrived in excellent condition ahead of the expected schedule. They are a perfect height to sit next to our outdoor furniture. The size planter is perfect to add a variety of plants but not be overbearing in size. We love them!

Comments about Product: The photo doesn't do this justice.
Comments about Product: I bought it as a gift for my sister and she loved it! She said it was perfect for her back patio and the look she is going for.
As beautiful in person as in catalog
Comments about Product: I had looked at this item for almost 2 years before purchasing, thinking I could find one, shaped as nicely, at my local garden center. That never happened, so finally purchased and am so pleased with it. Will probably give this one as a gift to my son and daughter-in-law for their new home and order another for me.
Purchase one and you will want another
Comments about Product: This planter is beautiful in a garden setting near a front door. I took a potted plant from the nursery and placed it right into this planter with fresh soil.It grew into the size of the planter and was gorgeous.
I was immediately drawn to this item!!
Comments about Product: I don't know how you will use my disjointed comments but good luck.
Comments about Product: I got 2 of these to flank the path to my pool deck & they look great filled with assorted annuals. Seem quite stable & sturdy.
Tell your friends what you really want this year!

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
