Rope Hammock Swing, Steel Stand And Pillows

The customer service guy was the nicest! The order arrives before they said it would I was concerned about delivery because this was a Mother's Day gift and it was on back order. My mom loved the hammock chair

The swing is great! I love it. But beware if you buy the Hammock stand. It comes with one page picture instructions that are not very detailed. You will need a phillips head screwdriver and an Allen's wrench to put it together which the instructions do not tell you that. Once I finally got it put together it is sufficient. Make sure you check the box when you get the swing for the S hook because it is clear in the bottom and does not come out with the swing.

Even though this item was rather expensive, it is worth every penny and a perfect gift. The recipient says "she is addicted to her new swing/hammock"...

To aid in a tight fit (I'm assuming) the outer tubing was drilled to create an indention on the interior of the tube to fit over a solid rod. Too much stuck out and it had to be ground down to fit at all. This took considerable time and effort. It wwould have been much easier assembly and a better fit to drill a complete hole and use a set screw arrangement.

I BOUGHT 2 OF THE HAMMOCKS W STAND- NO PILLOWS THOUGH.I HAVE HAD THEM FOR TWO SUMMER AND THEY ARE GREAT,AT FIRST THEY DO SIT UP HIGH BUT NOT FOR LONG YOU JUST HAVE TO BREAK THEM IN THEN YOU WILL SEE THAT IT SITS PRETTY LOW,AS A MATTER OF FACT I HAVE ONE THAT IS BROKEN IN (SITS LOW) AND THE OTHER ONE IS STILL ALITTLE HIGHER-BUT THATS JUST BECAUSE NO ONE HAS SAT IN IT HARDLY BUT IM SURE ONCE ITS USED IT WILL WITH NO PROBLEM.ALTHOUGH THAT PARTICULAR ONE I WILL BE HAVING TO REPLACE BECAUSE I HAD IT ON THE FRONT OPEN PORCH AND MY SONS FRIEND CAME OVER (TEEN STOCKY 210LBS) SAT IN IT FOR A FEW SEOCONDS AND THE WOODEN BAR BROKE IN HALF JUST 2 DAYS AGO I DONT KNOW WHY I HAVE HAD PEOPLE ON THAT PARTICULAR SWING BEFORE ON PREVIOUS SUMMERS AND THEY WERE GIVE OR TAKE IN THE SAME WEIGHT BRACKET AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH IT WAS THE LEAST USED THIS SUMMER I MIGHT OF SAT IN IT ONCE BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER BUT MAYBE SINCE THE WEATHER HAS BEEN CHANGING AND GETTING PRETTY COLD OUT 50° AT NIHGHT THEN BACK TO BEING WARM AGAIN MAYBE THE WOODEN BAR ISNT MADE OUT OF THE TYPE OF WOOD THAT WITHSTANDS THAT WEATHER PATTERN IM NOT SURE PLEASE CHECK FOR YOURSELF, BUT I BRING THEM IN FOR THE WINTER BEFORE IT SNOWS. OVERALL I LOVE THEM AND WORTH THE MONEY,THE STAND AS WELL AND I HAD NO MISSING PARTS THANKS GOD BECAUSE I WAS ONLY ORDERING THEM TO ENTERTAIN MY AUNT WHO WAS COMING FROM FLORIDA AND WAS SETTING THEM UP AT 4AM THE MORNING OF HER ARRIVAL SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TIME TO SEND IT BACK OR WAIT FOR PARTS.THE STAND WAS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER FROM 1-5 IT WAS A 2. I ordered 4 of these pillows for my outside chairs and hammock swing and they are great. They have been outside all summer, rain or shine, and they look like the day they arrived; the colors are still bright and they dry very quickly. They are very comfortable and look great on my patio. I will definitley order more of these pillows for my new chairs next year.

When I first set it up (or rather, my 12 year old grandson did with no trouble) I thought it was uncomfortable with the bottom rope digging into my legs and my feet just hanging. But I still loved the free-floating concept, and the stand and swing are well made, so I found a footrest (just made for a rope swing) from a hammock company on line and it made my swing perfect. I suggest that P&H get this type of footrest as an option. It becomes a true floating swing, and so comfortable you keep dozing off before you read a whole page. I might add that the pillows (blue geometric) are beautiful.

I decided to hang these on our children's, adults now, swing set. When I opened the package I was a little nervous, they don't seem too durable and one didn't come with a hanging hook. They hung too high on the swing set. Hmmm...... I remembered I had the hardware from the traditional hammock that got smashed by a tree. Perfect solution and OMG unbelievably comfortable. I do not take naps, but that might change now. I hope they are durable and last.

Little disappointed-one of ropes to hammock hanger had pulled out. No longer comes with part necessary to attach it to stand so had to go buy piece of chain to do so YET picture in catalog showed it so thought it would be included.

The stand was extremely difficult to assemble even though the concept/design is simple, there were some metal spurs which made inserting 1 side very challenging and both sides had to slide in at the same time. I nearly gave up on putting it together. Once assembled the stand is very sturdy yet easy to move. As another review noted the s hook which is included is too small to fit through the loop on the stand; very frustrating.
I find the hammock itself to be uncomfortable. The bottom rail puts a lot of pressure on the back of my legs while sitting, it's hard to find and maintain a comfortable position.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my daughter. All of her friends fight over who gets to use it when they visit. It hangs great under the pergola. I can't get over how comfy it is, makes you feel like you are at a resort relaxing. I bough the pillow set but the pillow behind your back is almost too much so we use it with just one for the seat. I'll get a second one as a graduation gift but not the pillows. I can save by grabbing just one pillow at a department store. Bottom line is this swing is the BOMB!!

This was a gift for my daughter's birthday and it's perfect! It is durable, sturdy, and attractive. It has stood up to the test of a 9 year-old swinging in it almost non-stop since she got it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an attractive, comfortable spot to read a good book this summer!

Very disappointed in this with the stand set that was purchased. The directions to assemble the stand were the worst I've ever encountered. I also expected all of the necessary hardware to be included, but it required an extra S hook because the one that was supplied was to small for the stand. The swing is too short for the stand, and the seat is extremely uncomfortable for both tall and short people.

I bought 2 - they are hanging in my covered patio Excellent workmanship very good quality for the price!!!
