This is much more Gorgeous and colorful when I got it then I thought it would be (happily surprised). I thought there would be more silver as in photo. Its heavy too so it will sit securely on base which is a good thing since it has no real spout like thing to put into base. All it has is a little bump like. It works fine but if I wanted to put it out front in my other holder, it never would have worked. Just heads up.

Make sure you read the part about the frog stand NOT being available! That was the only reason I bought this, I thought it was a paired thing. My fault for not reading more carefully, but I planned on replacing the hideous ball for another, I just wanted the frog stand!

We've revamped the house foundation. Took out the end of life shrubs, removed mulch and used river rock rather than mulch. This frog is going to be a great eye catcher in the gardens. It's a good size and seems sturdy. It's probably fie the way it is but if more weight is needed, we can add sand or stone in the bottom. Still need to find the right gazing ball, but Froggy looks good just sitting there for now. Very happy with this piece! Glad that it was offered and especially with the lowered price.

This frog just makes everyone smile. It's not "cutsey" and brings a pleasant surprise when one notices it. If you're worried about it not having enough weight in a windy area, add some gravel, stones... inside. (Through the bottom) Glad that I purchased this. It's a delite after looking at all of the metal gazing ball holders.

I've been searching for a pretty gazing ball at local shops for several years. I was apprehensive about ordering one based on a picture in a catalog, but I was very pleased when I opened the box! The ball is beautiful and is of substantial weight, not so light that the wind will blow it away. It is beautiful on the 12" Rust Resistant Powder Coated Iron Scroll Stand.

I was under the impression the frog holder came WITH the gazing ball. All of the reviews of the product mentioned the frog holder. That actually was what attracted me to the gazing ball. I received the gazing ball, but no frog. And now I see the frog is actually sold separately and is no longer available. That was not clear when I purchased the gazing ball. So, just disappointed.

I mosaic bowling balls and I had made a silver and blue mirror glass bowling ball to sit beside my pool for parties. I must have looked for a year for a frog strong enough to hold the bowling ball and I found it!! It looks so cute on my patio and draws many complements.
