I bought the 18" set for my son's fireplace with the thought that I might order it for my Franklin Stove if it fit. Well it fit but I didn't like the way you could see tops of the fuel cans. I called the Real Flame company. Their rep agreed that the tops of the fuel cans can be seen. They had no additional logs that could be purchased to help hide the cans but I purchased their junior cans of Real Flame that are 1/2 as high as the regular cans. Unfortunately using the smaller cans didn't solve the problem for me. You could see less of them but the flame wasn't big enough. I decided not to buy a log set for myself but my son is satisfied with his. Except for what I consider a design flaw, the set is attractive and the fire realistic - great crackling sound.

Overall I am very pleased with the authenticity of this product. My only complaint is it's not larger in scale.

We put this in an old coal burning fireplace in an historic home. It cost too much to restore the fireplace so thought we could just try ceramic logs. It was wonderful! When burning it looks so real! It even pasted the "real" test when we had company over and it was not yet lit. They were shocked when we lit the fuel cans! It doesn't give any heat to the room but just looking at it burning makes you feel warmer!
