Is a great addition for my garden by the pool area as it needs sun, I have a lot of shaded spaces and this herb garden works wonders to my décor.

I love this planter
from Port Jefferson, NY
I use this planter as an herb garden and though some reviewers seem to think it is too small, it fits all the herbs I could possibly want and more. It is compact and attractive sitting on my deck. Although the pieces come varnished, be aware that eventually the moisture will cause the wood to rot. They last for several years though, and I just set up my second one after the first finally failed. I will probably buy another one and store it for future use in case they stop selling them.

Not as advertised
We are not sure what kind of wood this is, but it is not cedar. It is poorly stained a red color. We looked at similar planters and the reason we chose this one was that the verbage stated that it was cedar and the picture appeared to show a natural cedar planter, either unstained or with a clear stained. What we received did not resemble this at all. Additionally, pieces of the planter were already cracked slightly where they were supposed to fit together. SO, this product is definitely not as described and is poor quality. We have returned it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It has a wonderful design, but its too small to plant anything. Even planting the little plants that come in 4's, they barely fit in between the slats.

Have had lots of compliments, herbs are growing well, but it is hard to get them planted. The gaps are too narrow.

Great for Strawberries
from Tacoma, WA
I am using this as a planter for strawberries. The only thing that would make this better is for the lowest level to be deeper. As it is I was unable to plant any berries in the lowest level. I was able to plant 24 strawberry plants in this planter.

Fantastic pyramid planter!
from Wichita, KS
I looked everywhere for this exact planter and was thrilled to find it at Plow and Hearth. I love it! I plant mine with impatiens, and once they start thriving, it turns into a mound of color!
Very cool planter

Cute little planter
from Allentown, PA
It's a cute little planter, but smaller than it appears in the image. Very easy to put together (less than 5 minutes). There are lettered stickers on each piece, and it took a minute to realize that, if you put all the stickers facing inward, that is how it goes together. It's a bit pricy, but will be great to hold a variety of herbs for my kitchen.
