Comments about Product: I love this chair out on my deck. I chose to not use cushions because I have cats. They are still very comfortable to sit in. I use a small lumbar pillow to decorate. Awesome construction and the usual great quality of Plow and Hearth!

Comments about Product: We love the two gorgeous Rockers we use for entertaining and just enjoying our view. OUR porch is a little bit uneven and it is possibly the reason they don't rock as far or as smoothly as they should.
Comments about Product: I thought I was buying a true white chair. I Was a li ttle dissappointed upon arrival!

Lovely red scroll pattern chair cushions
Comments about Product: We have the antique white wicker on our wrap around Victorian Porch. We are outside constantly entertaining or just kicking back. I can't wait to purchase more of this line from Plow & Hearth.
Love the rockers
Comments about Product: We really like the set. I planned on using pads from a previous set but this pattern is a wee bit smaller - I can squeeze the pads in and will not have to buy new ones until next year. They look wonderful on our deck, great for entreating. I have to fight the grandchildren for the every comfortable rockers - I usually win.
Very nice chair
Comments about Product: Looking forward to many hours on the porch in the rocking chair...just relaxing
Great look and good comfort
Comments about Product: I love the look of these rockers. They are just the right size for my porch. Only complaint was that the holes on the sliders did not match up well to the holes in the bottom of the chair legs. We had to use an ice pick to punch a hole through the plastic slider so we could match it up with the leg hole. Other than that, they are perfect.

I thought a rocker was for relaxing.....
Comments about Product: The rocker is as beautiful as pictured. My problems with this rocker included getting the wrong color "runners or rockers" and missing cork stoppers in the legs of the chair to screw the runners onto. When I called about the wrong color runners for my Antique White rockers, I was told that the company that P & H buys them from only sent white and brown runners and NO Antique White ones so they were just sending those customers the "bright white" runners instead!! Unfortunately I read other customer reviews AFTER I got this product, but one person wrote that she was going to spray paint her runners to match and that's what I decided to do too. Deliberately sending mismatched merchandise to customers is outrageous and I certainly hope there is an investigation into this. I will definitely think twice about ordering from Plow & Hearth again.
Comments about Product: I was anxious to receive the wicker rocking chair which I ordered in brown. However, I was not very happy to discover that the rockers which were wrapped separately were white and did not match the chair. Since the item was so large and the box nearly impossible for me to lift, I decided not to send it back - instead I purchased a can of spray paint to make them match. This was frustrating for what I paid for the rocking chair - typical for something [*]. I was even more frustrated that I was studpid enough to actually pay the additional postage to have it delivered only to find it too large to return by myself.

Pretty but mismatched
Comments about Product: The rockers did not match the color of the chair.

Comments about Product: wicker has a design in it just about neck level that is uncomfortabe when you lean back.

The chairs are OK
Comments about Product: I took off work twice waiting for delivery. First time, July 1, the company forgot to put the rocking chairs on the truck and didn't realize until the end of the day after closing hours of their warehouse(the chairs were ordered for a 4th of July party). Second time, July 5, they didn't show up when I took off work again. Delivery service was poor to return calls. After repeatedly called and got an answering machine, I requested the chairs be returned to Plow & Hearth for a full refund if they weren't delivered by July 7th.
I was called back, and told I needed to sign that I would accept them "as is" and they would drop them off some time that day. They couldn't give any time range for dropping them off, and I couldn't miss another day of work, so I agreed to do that.
One box had a big hole in it when I got home from work. Luckily the chairs didn't have damage.
Had your catalogue said the rockers were made in China, I also wouldn't have ordered them. I didn't have the energy to hassle with a return once I saw the packaging said China.
Three of the four runners on the two rockers went together OK. The fourth hole was cut over an inch short. Luckily my husband is handy with metal work tools.
I studied your new catalogue last week, which I have always loved in the past. Do you sell anything that isn't imported anymore?

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
