        Comments about Patio Garden:

this product is very good for double plantings, such as tomato plants in the upside down section and peppers or salad greens in the upper section. The height makes it easy to plant and harvest. One thing that wasn't so good was the assembly. The central support column was very difficult to install.

        Comments about Patio Garden:

This is a great, unique design that allows people with limited space to grow many different plants without taking up a large area. Being able to grow four tomato plants at once is a huge plus. It is holding up well overall, but is a bit flimsy. I had put 50 lbs of sand in the base to counterweight and noticed that it is not watertight at all and filled the rest of the way with mucky rain water. I am hoping it does not become a breeding ground for insects, mosquitoes, etc. It will not be fun to empty and clean out for winter storage.

Bought as a Christmas gift for friends who love fresh vegies but with little time and space to "play". Looking forward to their heirloom tomatoes this year.

This is fabulous for my mom. Regular gardening is too hard as she is 75 years old. This is great for her fresh tomatoes, strawberries and herbs. It's the ideal height, too. Thank you!

              Comments about Patio Garden:

Product is great for herbs of all kinds. My parsley and basil leap for joy in their container. Spacious enough to plant a complete herb garden. However, the bottom section is not condusive to sunlight even in an area of full sun. The box itself shades the products you are trying to grow underneath. My plants underneath are growing but much slower than the same plants which I have planted in the garden.
I wouldn't recommend filling with water or sand as it makes it nearly impossible to move to another location or if you want to rotate your garden. A lighter color (perhaps green) would help the garden box to blend in rather than the stark black contrast. I do love the fact it does not rust.
