We buy this product year after year. We use wood as a major heat source in the winter and spring and we use fatwood from Plow and Hearth. We love the pine smell and the easy way to get the larger logs to catch. In fact my son loves this in comparison to others he's tried and asked where I got it. GREAT PRODUCT!

Our house does not have heat. We depend on a wood burning stove to heat the entire house. Fatwood makes it so we can light the stove in our sleep - we tried many other alternatives and this is *by far* the best solution. Once lit, we can walk away knowing the fire will take off, even if the wood is a little wet or too big to really be a starter log.

This is a great product to have for use in the fireplace. It would probably be great for starting campfires, too. By using these we were able to eliminate the use of crumpled paper -- so less ashes! The fire starters always ignited quickly and burned hot enough to get the logs to start on fire.

I ordered a few extra boxes to keep on hand for last minute gifts, housewarming and hostess gifts. A great gift!

This is the easiest way for me to start a roaring fire. One or two sticks and you have a fire in minutes. It has no smell and lights quickly!

My sister-in-law has used this product for years because it works so well, it's easy and it's clean. I always make it a Christmas gift to her when she's close to running out. My son had a vent fire in his woodstove, so he's now going to receive this product from me forevermore so his fires burn cleanly. No more using newspapers or brown paper bags!! And no more "chimney" fires!! Plus, I think the price is reasonable because you only need to use a stick or two at a time. I never thought to use it for a grill!! Good idea!!

I have bought the 35 pound boxes of fatwood from Plow and Hearth for years. It is clean and consistantly sized so it looks great in a container on the hearth. It is a fast, safe and natural way to start beautiful fires or to awaken ones that have fallen asleep. I think it is the best buy for high quality fatwood available. I also give it to my children's families as Christmas gifts.
