After we got a new kitten and he decided the fireplace would be a great place to hang out, we knew we needed something other than the piece of cardboard I had to tape over the fireplace! Saw this screen and thought it would look nice. Fireplace screens always seem to be over priced but since this was on sale I decided to order it. We are very happy the design and thickness of the glass and screen.

We like the screen but unfortunately have not been able to assemble and set it up. The shipment was short all the hardware and included only one front support. I called and reported the shortage to Customer Service on 1/11. Today is 1/20 and I still have not receied the parts that I need. This is not acceptable.

My wood-burning fireplace in my 100 year old brick bungalow has a very small firebox and is not safe to use for a real fire. I bought this screen and an electric log, and now I can have the fireplace atmosphere and some heat without the danger!

The screen dresses up the fireplace very well and helps disguise the electric log so at a glance it looks like a real fire!

The legs were very easy to install on the screen, and it stands well without any wobbling.

The packaging seemed a bit flimsy for how heavy the screen is, but it was not damaged so I think I was lucky!

This is the second fireplace screen I've ordered from Plow and Hearth. The first one is still in good condition but I wanted a change. We got the screen today and it was easy to assemble. I just had my husband tighten everything for me. The only thing I didn't think about was that our fireplace opening is raised off the ground so the back support brackets don't go into the fireplace opening and the screen sits away from the wall rather than flush with it. We're planning on getting a mantle and hearth installed so this will solve the problem once it's done. I really like the screen and would suggest that others buy it. It is very elegant.

We think it is a lovely addition to our fireplace and makes it safer for us and the family pets! It was easy to assemble. I put it together and all my husband had to do was tighten everything up. Only con is having to move it around to get the right place where it sets flat against the rock or it feels like it moves when you open and close the doors. Overall we love it.

Product arrived quickly, but without the hardware necessary to assemble the support legs. Company sent the hardware out to us right away, so not a huge problem. The screen is fine, though not as attractive as it appeared in the online advertisement photo.

Large Screen and pretty design. Workmanship average, marks on the metal that don't come off and doors are off about 1/4 inch. Okay for the money.

I used this to go over my boring gas fireplace. It fits perfect and really changes the look of my fireplace. Made well for what I am using it for. I wanted to get a nicer look and it did that exactly. I only used the front legs so it can lay flat against my fireplace. I checked many websites and this was the nicest at a reasonable cost. Love it!

We have small children and needed a screen that couldn't get knocked down easily. This one is very sturdy, well built, and looks great. We didn't put the back feet on so it would sit flush against the fireplace. I've had it for a few months and it has worked great.

On line service was excellent. Delivery timely and on schedule. Well packaged, except styrofoam didn't hold up in single pieces very well. Lots of tiny bits when package was opened and a challenge to clean up. Fireplace screen was fine and everything as promised.

Love it! It is attractive and was easy to put together. I haven't used my fireplace in years so don't know how it would function with a fire. It certainly appears that it would be effective at providing protection from flying sparks.

This screen compliments any mission decor. Very simple installation. Lovely flickering glow when lit. Was concerned about the screen/glass combination allowing for increased airflow from the chimney & the room being colder but it doesn't affect the room temperature.
