    Genius Required to Assemble

    By stanifer

    Comments about Plowhearth Link-A-Bord Composter:

The Link-a-Board Composter--sounds easy, doesn't it?--took my gardener and me an hour or two to assemble, with a ton of frustration along the way. The directions are poorly conceived, not helpful, you are really on your own. The unassembled pieces are not marked and you may not notice until you are well into the project that the pieces have differences. Some rods are long, some shorter. Some side pieces have holes on both ends, some only on one. Before you start, lay your pieces out and study them carefully. The other reviewer who wrote is a better "man" than I in that she did not complain overly about the assembly process. I think you either need to be a genius for this sort of thing or call in NASA for help. When all is said and done, I now have a composter that may function adequately--time will tell--but is erroneously assembled (two rods stick up in the front quite incorrectly. The moral of the story: BEWARE OF ASSEMBLY UNLESS YOU HAVE A GENIUS ON HAND TO DO IT FOR YOU.

    Works great once together

    Comments about Plowhearth Link-A-Bord Composter:

I was able to put it together after some work. If you buy it you will see what I mean early on. Nice quality. Nice that when/if I have to take it down, I can clean it up, tear it down and store it. The bars that hold the top have bowed slightly-Florida heat I guess, but it has not gotten worse. Perhaps heavier rods to hold the top would of been better, but what is there does the job-the top won't fall through-again if you buy you will see what I mean. The need to improve the bars that hold the top is the reason I give it 4 stars and not 5. I am glad I have it; best design I have seen yet.
