I have hung many shades in my house over the years and these are BY FAR the worst. They are much more difficult to hang than any other shade I have ever purchased and do not seem very high quality. I would NEVER recommend these to anyone.

I needed shades for 4 west-facing windows in the house we just bought. Within minutes of installing these, the temperature in the room dropped noticeably! They are heavy, good quality fabric. The mesh on the back is a little odd, but not too obvious from the street.

Read the instructions carefully before you start. The shades come with a template that you cut out, which makes it very easy to install the mounting brackets in the window frame.

The steps are simple: find your center, tape up the template, screw in the mounting brackets where it shows you to. Attach the wand to the shade, click the shade to the brackets, and you're done! There's also a cool holder for the wand, takes 2 seconds to install. I do recommend predrilling all your screw holes, makes it so easy and you won't split your wood. Great shades!

I have these shades in every room in the house, but my ONLY issue with them is the plastic piece at the very bottom becomes very brittle and will just snap/shatter. I have been using small keyring rings or washers to replace. This is easy enough to do, but they are no longer easily adjusted to be level, it takes a bit of work. They are great for keeping house cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

I am quite pleased with these roman shades. I have purchased many in the past, but I am most impressed with the mechanism to raise & lower shade. Now that I have grandchildren, I prefer the cordless shades for safety. I will purchase a second set for another bedroom.

I never write reviews. I needed cordless, insulated, light-blocking roman shades--and did not want custom made shades. I just installed them in my child's room--I kept muttering "ingenious" as I went. It took a good 45 - 60 min to just read directions and figure out the best method for the first shade. Thereafter, each shade took just 20 min to install.

I love the washable factor, and plan on shortening them and hackIng them a bit by attaching my own fabric to the shade. We will see how it goes.

The wand used to raise & lower the shades is great. It takes a little bit more time to raise, but lowering is snappy.

Ready made window coverings are limited so I was very happy to find this product. I was not disappointed when they arrived. The brackets for the installation should be easier to use.

I installed these shades myself, with a drill on a Saturday afternoon. They are exactly what I was looking for! I had returned two sets of shades prior to this from other retailers and I am so pleased that I found these. Definitely worth it!

We put these curtains in our babys room to cut down on the light and heat that enters the room due to it's location. These curtains have tremendously helped! However, you must be patient if your going to try to raise the blinds. They must be slowly raised in order to properly fold. If you try to wind the rod quickly the blinds can not keep up and will not neatly fold! You also need to read the installation instructions and follow them to the T! The handyman we hired to install the blinds claimed he read them and couldn't get the blinds to work. He said they were junk and we should return them. We went back, read the instructions and discovered he missed a very important step. So glad we kept these blinds and didn't go on his recommendation.

I ordered these blinds reluctantly as the other ones I wanted were being phased out. I read the one review on them and they made them sound awkward to operate. Actually the operation is a breeze. They have a wand similar to mini-blinds that connects to a clever mesh backing that operates the blind. The problem is with mounting the blinds if you want to alter the wand side. You have to take the top apart. Also sometimes the mesh backing comes away from its little clips that allow it to work, but this is easy to fix. Now that they are installed I like them better than the other roman shades P&H offers; they are heavier and more robust.

We bought these for our sons room. We like that they are blackout shades espcially in the light color and that they are child safe with no cords. However you need about 20 min and a lot of arm strenght in the morning just to roll up the shades. I wish they had made a better way to roll them up. But overall they do what we need
