We have an open floor plan with a half-wall between the kitchen table area and the family room. This table gives us bar-type seating for the area that is high enough to interact with people in the family room. For the sale price of under $150, you absolutely can't beat it. There is not a lot of leg room under the table for adults, due to the design of the storage area, but for snacks and quick meals - perfect. The wheel locks are only maginally useful. Also gives me some extra work space in the kitchen.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love it in my kitchen. It could be just a little heavier, but for me it is easy to move to clean under it. It didn't take long for my husband and I to put it together.
