Portuguese Cotton Flannel Cat Lounge Pants

I asked for this as a gift. I love the print designs on it but that is it. I ordered an XL which usually is always very comfortable but it runs very small in the waist for pj pants. It does not have that stretchy comfort that is needed. Also, the pants were not as pictured. The pic showed a button design on it and it was not as depicted.

I ordered these pjs in extra large. In my opinion, the sizing is extremely small in the waist. The waist is too tight to comfortably wear.

i ordered an xl in these pants. it was love at first sight when i opened them. they are even cuter in person than in the picture. unfortunately, the sizing of these pants is quite strange. the legs were super long and widely cut, while the elastic waist was very snug. the elastic was so tight; it barely had any stretch. sadly, the pants were not at all comfortable through the waist and hip region, so i returned them.

I ordered size large(12-14) for myself & XL (16)for my sister. I ended up keeping the XL and returning the large. I washed in warm and dried in a hot dryer to intentionally shrink. I'm 5'6" and they are still quite long. They did shrink some width wise in the super wide thigh area. I appreciate how well they keep my ankles totally covered. There was only an inch difference in the waist between the large & XL. It seems to me that more room should have been used in the waist with a stretchier band for even more comfort. The cut should have been more ample in the waist to the crotch to allow more comfort while lounging. The flannel is not as thick as I expected being that the cat sheets have such high reviews and this cotton is Portuguese (I do not own the sheets, but am familiar with Portuguese cotton). The picture shows a nicely done button flat front and tie. The pj's only have elastic going completely around. I can do without the tie unless really needed, but these lack the well made look as presented in the picture.
