Only concerns are paint conitinues to flake off surface after short time (4 months); and once the lantern stopped working, unable to get a new one as replacement.

I purchase this doggy to go outside into my garden but when I got it it had to stay inside for a while and now I can't part with it. So it may stay inside permanently. Very pretty real looking dog.
Great purchase. The Plow and hearth customer service was also great. We could not find at first the lattern in the box (for reference it is included in the foam that covers the dog's head). So I called the service and I was told that a new lattern will be sent immediately. After we found it in the box I called back and the replacement was cancelled. Very friendly and helpfull customer service.

This item is well made and a great addition to a flower garden. I strongly recommend this product. As in previous shipments, the item was obviously shipped in the original carboard container received from the manufacture. As with similar items purchased,the box was broken in many places thus exposing the product to possible breakage in transit. Other then that, another great product.

this is a beautiful looking dog; but i am having problem with the paint chipping after having it for about (1) month; i am on my 2nd dog now; and am noticing the black paint starting to chip again; not sure what is making it chip; it sits out on the deck; not like anyone is bothering it

I previously reviewed this item and stated that the light was not bright enough and would not last through the night. After reading other reviews where that did not seem to be a problem, I emailed Plow and Hearth to tell them about my issue. They sent me a new lantern, and it is working much better than the initial one! Not only is the product wonderful, but Plow and Hearth stands by their products and is a very responsible and responsive company. I did not even have to return the defective lantern! I will most certainly continuing purchasing from this company.

I ordered the Polyresin Outdoor Lab With Solar Lantern as a decorative item for our front porch. Almost immediately I starting receiving positive comments about how life like amd beautiful it was. I just love it!

I love my black lab front door greeter. I was very impressed by the quality, she looks great, feels solid and is working out wonderfully.

I love the way this looks! In fact, someone actually thought it was my dog standing on the porch until she got closer. However, the light is not bright at all. We have it on our front porch, where it can get quite dark, and I was hoping for more lighting coming up and down the steps. The light is dim to begin with and won't even last the night. I have taken it to a very bright, sunny area during the day to recharge the battery and also physically recharged the battery in a battery charger, but it just doesn't seem to get any brighter or last any longer. That is a disappointment to me. It is a wonderful decoration and I would be giving it five stars if it was more functional as a light. It arrived in excellent condition and was packed well. The quality of the dog is very high; the lantern seems cheaper and not particularly well made.

You need to pacakge your products better, this dog and lantern was broken, cracked & chipped. there is not enough packaging to secure it.

I placed the dog holding the solar lantern on my porch a week ago. When I looked down yesterday I saw paint chipping off of his leg. He appears to be a white plastic painted with black paint. Very disappointed in the quality of this product especially for the price! It was a great idea but the quality definitely is POOR.
