Plow & Hearth Original Design
Curved bench has a unique outdoor look. Solid pole-style construction ensures it will stand up to years of outdoor use. The wood can be stained, painted or left to weather naturally to silver gray. Place eight together to form a circle. Some assembly. Imported.

The cedar bench was very difficult to assemble. The pre-drilled holes were not deep enough and the tops of the legs were not alligned properly with the holes in the bench. It is standing outside, but the legs are not parallel. I should have purchased a local assembled bench.

Comments about Plowhearth Plow & Hearth Log Bench:
My handy husband assembled both benches but complained some predrilled holes didn't match up and sometimes wood split. I purchased 2 benches and both looked nice around fire pit but when first lifted one end to reposition, it split and fell apart in center. The center supports just aren't braced strong enough.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love this bench! The only drawback is that it is challenging for an amateur to do a brush stain between the boards on the seat.

We purchased two of these benches to put around our fire pit. One arrived broken, but the exchange process seems to be fairly easy. I noticed reviews that stated that there were splits in the wood on the legs. This is true, but my husband thinks that it is expected to happen. For the price, we can deal with it. He put a clear sealant on the wood and sanded it. The bench looks even better now!

Pleasantly suprised how good of quality the wood pieces were. Assembly was easy. Everyone commented how nice it looks around our campfire. Love it!!!! Worth the money!

I really like this product. It was very well constructed and went together extremely easy. Appears to be very solidly made. My only complaint is that it is not prefinished, which I knew. I would recommend that if you are going to finish this item, that you would do so before it is assembled because it is more difficult to fully finish when assembled.

Liked it so much i bought another

Bought as a gift for a family member to use around the campfire. They love it. Have bought them 2 more since then. The bench is great...all the other families at the lake now want them too. The last bench i bought was packaged more compactly than the 1st two therefore had less trouble putting it in the car
bought two more!

Bought two more benches for our backyard firepit. Now have four benches, and two rocker gliders. Used a clear stain, they look great, and are very comfortable.
Quarter Circle Log Benches
We have a large fire ring in our back yard that these work wonderfully around. Lets our friends enjoy the view of the Mares with their fouls and the view of the mountains in a camp style way which adds to their charm. We live in a log home in a rural area with lots of open spaces and wildlife. The log benches add to the scenery in a natural way.
Very attractive & at a great price!

We use these benches down by our firepit which sits on a circular stone patio so the curve of the benches goes great with the shape of the patio. My husband stained them. We really enjoy sitting on them by the fire.

Nice design - Good Price

I waited for warmer weather to assemble the bench because I want to stain it. [...] The instructions emphasize hitting the pieces with a mallat so they're tight. The tenons are too long to fit the holes after they are tight. One fastener missed the wood completely. The fasteners are not 'high quality'. I would recommend using hand tools. I like the design and the rustic look, but I don't expect this bench to last long.
Nice Log Bench!

Bench looks great on my lawn. I had the bench coated to help preserve it. Very nice, looks great!

We use our firepit and love to get cozy to the fire with this bench. We have even used it as extra seating on our porch and for entertaining.
A Really Great Bench

In the Summer, we use our benches around our campfire enclosure. In the Winter we set them up around the fire pit on our deck overlooking the skating rink. It makes a perfect place to gather, sing and snack. Good job!

About Me High-end Shopper
We have owned 3 for 2 years and have them around the firepit at our cabin. I was coming back for 2 more and saw the comments and couldn't believe them. The only thing I would like more is something with a back. As for as Plow and Hearth is concerned, I usually order for our cabin and everything we have ordered has been great.
Arrived broken, poor part quality

Ordered two of these benches. Both arrived broken in half at the same place. Also, screws were not usable as the phillips head impressions were too shallow to insert a screwdriver on. Nice concept, poor follow-through on quality.
Lovely rustic benches - we bought 2
from Carol Stream, IL
We put these on a new "paver" sidewalk and sitting area going up to our front door. They look so welcoming - even had a few neighbors stop by to comment, one asked where we got them so I gave her your catalog. A few of the legs were split slightly, not all the way through. I think it's the nature of the wood and cut. They are cedar so I expect they will be fine. We're deciding now if we should stain them or let them weather to silver gray.

Last a long time and it's perfect for around a camp fire.
Cedar Bench, a very poor value.

A poorly made bench. The poor quality has deterred me from purchasing at Plow & Heath again.
Very Sub Standard
I thought these curved benches would be perfect for our firepit area. But when they arrived and all but two out of more than 20 braces were split I knew this product was way below stardard. Do not buy this product.
Great Bench for our Cabin

We put this bench on our porch for guests to sit on when taking off or putting on their shoes and boots.Everyone loves the way it sets and we get many good comments about it being so sturdy. We will be buying another one soon.

This was given as a give for my son and his wife for there new patio with a built in stone firepit. They love it and will be buying another one.

These benches are definitely cedar. I could smell the cedar when I opened the boxes (ordered two). The assembly in not too difficult if you follow the instructions. You'll want a power driver with all the screws that need to be driven. I am still debating whether to stain or seal them or just leave as is. Right now they are out by our fire pit waiting for my decision regarding any finish. They seem to be sturdy and solid.
Came back for More!

I bought 2 last summer for around my firepit. I recently purchased 2 more to encircle the firepit. The first 2 weathered to a lovely silver and when the second 2 catch up we may clear coast them. They have be subjected to heat and rain and snow and freezing temperatures and stood up well. Which is why I bought the second set.
