I am using this hearth rug in my family room. The length and thickness of the rug do a good job of protecting my carpet from sparks and embers that may pop through the screen on my fireplace.

When I received this rug, I was surprised at how well it was made, the quality, and the design. It was much better than the photo/description. I would certaily order it again. If you like the pattern...what you see in the photo...you will love this rug.

Used this rug all last year in front of our slate hearth to catch any embers that might land on the hardwood floors. Perfect colors, looks great with our nearby oriental carpet and craftsman style. Great quality, soft (both our cat and dog sleep on it) and worked perfectly for protecting the floor. That is, until we dog-sat a puppy who thought it was as good as the outside grass. I tried cleaning myself (unsuccessful) and will have professionally cleaned. BUT, it's fireplace season again, I can't live without this rug, so am purchasing another. I figure I'll just get to enjoy this rug more years if I have two to rotate... This would be extravagant if it weren't such a great rug.

We use this rug in front of our frenchdoors in the living room that leads to our deck area. The rug is good quality and beautiful and comfy on bare feet.

Bought this rug to put in front of the fireplace because it was fire retardant, but it is more stylish and can be used as a rug in any entry way. Looks great in our mountain cabin. We have only used it for about 4 days so I can not comment on its long term durability. As far as looks, I would definitely recommend it.

Waiting for a Cold October the rug sits before the fireplace waiting to catch the sparks of light given off by the fire which warms a small cabin.

Looks great in front of wood-burning stove. Nice and soft and thick. The only problem was that one corner was not stitched properly and started to fray. A couple of stitches around the cord did the trick.

Hesitated at the price, but the quality and design definitely lived up to my expectations for value in this price range. Use this in front of our living room hearth - expected to use during holidays, but design and colors work in our room so well that it will stay until the fireplace is cleaned out for summer. We have an eclectic mix of craftsman/contemporary and asian in our living room, and this rug works great with our oriental rug, wood floors and slate hearth. Have been looking for a rug to put in front of hearth to catch errant embers that didn't look utilitarian. This is a yummy, rich look.

We have this in front of our fireplace and it is beautiful. My only complaint is the price. I would love to have the matching footstool, but wow, that's a lot of money!

Nicely made, but color was not as it appeared on the website or in the catalog. It is a dark olive color. Nowhere as attractive as appears in picture.

So far I love it. It looks good. Colors are true from photo in catalog. It has been easy to clean. Sits in front of my Hearth and is nice looking. It collects the little bits of wood chips that drop when carrying logs to the fireplace. Vac'd up quickly due to tight, upright weave.

This rug looks like it was made for OUR living room. In front of our fireplace, it adds just the needed touch. I'm a very picky shopper, who searched for months for "something special". I am so glad I didn't settle for just "any ole rug" during my search, because I found a gem!

The hearth rug is very attractive and utilitarian. I've seen sparks leap on it many times but they extinguish themselves quickly. We're very pleased with the product.

We love our new rug; it sits in front of our hearth and protects the rug. It goes very well in our log home and matches our footstool which we really enjoy. Our Golden Retriever enjoys lying on it and she looks lovely.

When it was new (2 months ago) it looked great in front of our fireplace. Now two edges are unraveling. Kind of costly for lasting such a shrt time.

This is a beautiful rug, which matches the fireplace screen. It is a bit pricey, even for Plow and Hearth, but is a very good quality rug.
