This was an aniversary gift to my partner, marking forty-seven years together. It arrived from Plough and Hearth the day after we returned from Massachusetts where we had celebrated our anniversary by getting legally married.
Since buying the personalized crock from Plough and Hearth I have not seen it featured in their recent catalogs. I hope it's not been discontuned -- I'd like to buy some more jugs personalized for special days of family and friends.

I bought this for a friend who shares my wedding anniversary (same day and month but different year) but when I asked to have August 20, 2010 put on the crock they said it was too many characters. When I pointed out that the catalog shows a December month spelled out with the full day and year and it was longer than what I wanted they said it was a bit deceiving... I ordered it anyway and it looks great but we had to shorten August down to Aug.

It took almost 6 weeks to get this item in. It looks great, however, I have to wait yet another 6 weeks since they put the incorrect wedding date which ruined the surprise. I handed it to my wife, she saw the wrong date and basically shoved it back in my face. I clearly had the right date on order.

As this was a gift, and it took awhile to receive it due to the engraving, I was very, very disappointed in the engraving job. The top line is fine. But the date at the bottom is offset from the name at the top, and it does not look good. Especially for as much as I paid for the crock.
I will be returning it for a better engraving job, I just have to wait until the gift date cuz there is not enough time to return it ans get a new engraving job done in time.

Very pretty crock, however I received it with a huge crack right on the top and down into the inside of the crock. It had clear glaze over it, so it's not like it happened in shipping. Need to work on your quality control, nobody ever should have personalized that and sent it out.
