Comments about Product: We purchased this plaque for our nephew and his wife after they moved into their new house. Although we never saw the finished product since we live in another state, my nephew and his wife loved it!!
Comments about Product: I have purchased several of these oval house plaques over the years not only for myself but for wedding gifts. They are well made, stand the test of time, don't fade or rust and make for unique wedding gifts! I highly recommend this product.
Comments about Product: I love giving personalized gifts and this is so unique. But I was disappointed that the lettering on the last name was noticeably crooked. Even though there is this flaw I am keeping it and giving it as an anniversary gift.
Comments about Product: This is a very attractive sign. Generous size/ great color and finish/ hefty construction. Please be aware of the words that come standard on it when personalizing. Didn't notice that "house" was standard. oops!
Comments about Product: Love the look and the quality of the plaque. Better than I thought it would be. Nice and heavy..but not too heavy. I bought it for our 5th wedding anniversary and gave it to my husband. Looks great on the house and each time I look at it, it reminds me of our wedding day. Just wish it came in a black color, but still really like it.
Comments about Product: We gave this as a wedding present to some very dear friends. They were delighted with it, and hung it on their porch immediately. It makes for a lasting memory which is appreciated daily!
Comments about Product: I purchased this as a wedding gift for my daughter and son-in-law. [...]was beautifully done. When I opened the box and saw my daughter's new name and wedding date, I cried. It was perfect. It now hangs next to the door of their home and brings lots of pleasure to them both and to anyone visiting them. Thank you!

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
