We just put down the strips, so have no idea how it will wear over time. In our front yard, which has dark mulch, this blended in perfectly. We love it. In the back yard, where we have lighter mulch, it stands out like a sore thumb, and we took them back up. Also, the skinny size is pretty skinny - I would order the wider one the next time.

I've bought rubber mulch border from another vendor which is slightly heavier, thus lays flat easier, but is several dollars more per roll of the same length material. But, for the money, especially at [@] price, this product is very good. Once laid out along the edges of shrubbery or flower beds, it soon lays flat and stays flat. It's easy to place and to fit to gentle curves. It can easily be cut as needed. I've had one turf grass shoot come up thru about 50' of border, so it's quite effective. It's wide enough that grass doesn't seem to grow under it and come up on the other side. My high-suction mulching mower does not lift the mulch border off the ground.
